絶賛発展途上建設コンサル?インデックスのここがイイ！～私たちのミッション～

こんにちは、インデックスグループにて採用を担当しているHRブランディングの茨田です。

先月、インデックスグループの活動方針のベースとなる考え方である理念について、ブログにまとめましたがご覧いただけましたでしょうか？

今回は、理念のもとインデックスグループが達成すべきミッション、社会的な存在意義についてお話したいと思います。

【インデックスグループのミッション】

建設、社会?公共インフラ、ファシリティにおけるプロジェクトを通じて、社会課題解決、社会システム変革、国際貢献を実現する

インデックスグループでは、「IG Vision 2025」という4年間の事業計画を立てています。今年度が2年目で、内容は2025年年度末にグループ連結の売上を50億円にすることとプロジェクトマネジメント会社として国内だけでなく、海外からも求められる企業になるといったところです（かなりザックリですが）。

このIG Vision 2025を一緒に実現していく社員は、理念やグループの方向性（IG Vision2025）に共感し、日々のプロジェクトや業務を通して自律的にミッションを遂行しています。これは、これからジョインされる方にも強く求めれることです。

ミッションにある「建設」「社会?公共インフラ」「ファシリティ」は、インデックスグループの事業で必ず関わる領域です。それぞれの領域のプロジェクトを通して、以下の3つを実現していきます。

1．社会課題解決

社会やお客様が抱えている課題に対して、どうすれば解消できるかを考え抜いて提案し、プロジェクトを成功に導くだけでなく、抱えていた課題も同時に解決することを第一のミッションとしています。

また、プロジェクトを通してSDGsの達成や社会のために貢献できることを調査?分析し、解決に行きつくまでの道筋を自分事として策定、そして解決までを悉皆の精神でコミットします。

2．社会システム変革

インデックスグループではプロジェクトを進める上で課題となる事象に直面した際、すぐに諦めるのではなく、どうすれば乗り越えられるかを徹底的に検討し、粘り強く解決する方法を見出します。

少し前の実績ですが、2007年にインデックスコンサルティングが担当したプロジェクトを例にご紹介します。

美容専門学校を経営する学校法人 山野学苑が、従前から所有する代々木周辺の11棟のビルを集約したタワービル建設を計画しました。この際に直面した課題が二点ありました。

一つは学校の跡地に高さ100メートル、延べ床面積1万坪のタワービルを建てるための規制の緩和、もう一つは1万坪の床を最大限に活用した少子化に備えた収入源の確保です。

建築の専門家としての知識とノウハウをフルに絞り出し、?総合設計制度を利用して容積率や高さ制限の緩和（社会システムの変革）を実現させ、また上層階を賃貸マンションにしたことで学費だけに頼らない新たな収入源を確保することができました。

3．国際貢献

私たちは、「海外でプロジェクトを成功させること＝国際貢献」とは呼んでいません。

日本における社会課題の解決と並行して、海外においても環境問題や生活インフラの整備などで解決できることから貢献しています。

実際にインデックスストラテジーは、PPP（Public-Private Pertnership：官民連携）の手法を用いて海外の高速道路の整備プロジェクトにおいてプロジェクトマネージャーを務めています。この整備を通して、CO2の削減や地域の格差是正に寄与するよう事業戦略におり込んで提案をしています。

インデックスグループ創業からの生業は建築プロジェクトマネジメントですが、現在は課題の解決方法を自ら立案し、お客様に提案して案件化することも多く、先導的なプロジェクトが多数あります。

ミッションに掲げられている上記3つに近しいことを実現したい、戦略や事業の立案、社会的意義のある仕事を求めている方、以下のような想いを持っている方は、ぜひ一度お話してみたいと思っています！

I want to share Index Group's mission based on our philosophy this time.

【Index Group's Mission】

Building Construction, Social & Civil Infrastructure, Facilities. Through project management for diverse needs, our aim is to provide solutions to various issues, improve social systems, and contribute to global prosperity.

Index Group has a four-year business plan called "IG Vision 2025. This is the second year of the plan. The contents are to increase group sales to 5 billion yen by the end of the fiscal year 2025 and become a company sought after both in Japan and overseas as a project management company.

Our employees who together work to achieve this plan empathize with our philosophy and IG Vision 2025 and practice our mission through daily projects and operations. We need all new joiners to commit to it as well.

Building Construction, Social & Civil Infrastructure, and Facilities all relate to at least one of the operating companies. We will achieve the following three things through projects in each of these areas.

①To provide solutions to various issues.

Our primary mission is to think through and propose how we can solve the problems that society and our customers are facing. And not only led the project to success and solved the problems they were facing simultaneously.

We will also research and analyze what we can contribute to achieving the SDGs and to society through our projects, formulate our own path to solutions, and commit ourselves to resolving the issues with a SHIKKAI spirit.

②To improve social systems.

When faced with an event that becomes a challenge during a project, the Index Group does not immediately give up. We would thoroughly examine how to overcome it and persistently finds a way to resolve the issue.

Let me give an example, a project that Index Consulting conducted in 2007.

Yamano Gakuen, a school corporation that operates a beauty school, planned to construct a tower building by integrating 11 facilities in the Yoyogi area that it had owned for a while. There were two challenges in this project.

One is to ease regulations to build a 100-meter-high tower building with a total floor area of 33,000 square meters on the school site. The other is to secure a source of income to prepare for a declining birthrate by maximizing the use of the 33,000 square meters of floor space.

By fully drawing on our knowledge and expertise as architectural specialists, we could use the comprehensive design system to relax the floor-area ratio and height restrictions. Turning the upper floors into rental apartments enabled us to secure a new source of income that does not rely solely on tuition fees.

③To contribute to global prosperity.

We don't think a successful overseas project means contributing to global prosperity.

In parallel with solving social issues in Japan, we are also resolving environmental problems and improving the living infrastructure overseas as a contribution.

Index Strategy has served as a project manager for an overseas highway maintenance project using the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) method. Through this project, we are proposing project strategies that contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and correcting regional disparities.

Since the foundation of the Index Group, our livelihood has been in architectural project management. But now we have many kinds of projects. We take the lead by formulating our solutions to problems and proposing them to our clients, who then turn them into projects.
