The believers are welcome to follow the words of God and attain liberation.
The yogi who know the elements of Brahma, while performing looking , listening, touching, smelling, eating, walking, sleeping, breathing, speaking, scarifying , accepting, and opening eye and closing eye, he considers that all nerves are depending on their subjects and he is not doing anything. (Gita: 5/8&9)
“I am not doer of anything” is experience of the Yogi who has realized the God. This is not his imagination by He has gained this experience by performing Karmayoga. Therefore, without any doubt he know very well that nerves are commanded by the subjects. He considers nerves as part of nature and performed by nature. Further, he also realize that there is nothing greater than God in which he live therefore, he has no desire of experiencing happiness by seeing and touching or by other nerves –and their subjects. Because he does not consider worldly materials as important as spiritual wisdom so he does not develop attachment.

Muslim family’s decision to discontinue water supply to Dalit colony kicks up row in Kerala

Authorities say the decision of the Muslim family has nothing to do with CAA; Muslim family says water supply was discontinued due to technical issues.
The decision of a Muslim family to discontinue water supply to the residents of a Dalit colony near Valanchery in the district has kicked up a row, with the Sangh Parivar linking the issue with the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
District authorities said here on Friday that it was a personal issue and had nothing to do with the CAA.
The BJP alleged that the residents of the Cherukunnu SC colony were denied drinking water after some members of the colony attended the party’s Janajagratha Sadas in support of the CAA.
The issue assumed wider and murkier proportions when BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje tweeted saying that Malappuram was taking baby steps to become a Pakistan.
The Muslim family in question denied the allegation, saying that the water supply was discontinued because of technical issues.
The water supply system of the panchayat to the Dalit colony had not been functioning for about a year. Several households at the colony have been depending on the benevolence of the Muslim family in the neighbourhood for water.
Local residents said that the timing of the discontinuation of the water supply coincided with the CAA protests, and it was used as a weapon to further the hatred between two communities.
Revenue authorities said there were working to re-establish water supply to the colony.

BJP leader’s comment that his suspicions were aroused after workers ate poha draws snarky reactions.
BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has attracted a torrent of criticism on social media, particularly in West Bengal, after his comments about the eating habits of labourers.
On January 23, Mr. Vijayvargiya said that he had suspected that there were some Bangladeshis among the construction labourers who had been working at his house after he had found them eating poha (flattened rice that is called chire in Bengal). Chire, a staple food among Bengalis, is consumed across the country, and the BJP leader’s remarks triggered a sharp reaction on Twitter on January 24.
“My dhobi [washerman] showed up eating a burger. I think he’s American,” tweeted a social media user named Kajol Srinivasan.
Speaking at a meeting in Indore to express support for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Mr. Vijayvargiya said that some of the labourers working in his house had been eating only poha and that he had found this behaviour “strange” and therefore suspected them to be “Bangladeshis”.
“I suspected these workers were residents of Bangladesh. Two days after I became suspicious, they stopped working at my house. I have not filed any police complaint yet. I only mentioned this incident to warn people,” he was quoted as having said.

Turkey's clean energy generation received around TL 38.04 billion in incentive payments in 2019 through the Renewable Energy Support Scheme (YEKDEM), according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data Tuesday.
Turkey, which wants to fully utilize local and renewable energy sources efficiently to support its development, offers feed-in tariffs for renewable energy plants such as wind, hydropower, geothermal, biomass and solar through the YEKDEM scheme.
Renewable energy plants under the scheme are granted incentives based on their energy sources.
In 2019, 777 facilities with an installed capacity of 20,921 megawatts received financial backing under YEKDEM and produced 76.67 million megawatt-hours of electricity.
The scheme, which started in 2011, supports wind and hydropower plants at a cost of $0.073 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), geothermal facilities at $0.105 kWh, and solar and biomass plants at $0.133 kWh. These figures can also vary slightly depending on the use of locally produced equipment.
In 2020, Turkey aims to generate 82.5 billion kWh of electricity with the help of YEKDEM, from 818 plants with a total installed capacity of 21,877 megawatts.
Turkey plans to end this renewable incentive scheme by 2020, and is working on a more updated and efficient replacement.

Quality of China's economic growth further improves

High-tech field plays major role as emerging sectors maintain sound momentum
The quality of China's economic growth further improved last year, as the industrial structure continued to upgrade with high-technology manufacturing industries being a strong driver, the nation's top industry regulator said on Monday.
China's industrial output rose 5.7 percent year-on-year last year, hitting its annual growth target range of 5.5 to 6 percent. It showed that China has stabilized the economic fundamentals against growth pressure and external turbulence, said Miao Wei, minister of industry and information technology.
According to Miao, the high-tech sector is playing a bigger role, as witnessed by the fact that the segment registered a year-on-year growth rate of 8.8 percent and outpaced the overall industrial output growth in the period.
Miao noted that emerging industries also maintained sound momentum. For instance, productions of urban mass transit vehicles and solar photovoltaic cells has increased 32.6 percent and 26.8 percent year-on-year respectively.
Last year, sales of vehicles were down by 8.2 percent year-on-year with new energy cars also experiencing a drop. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on Monday it expected that the market will start to stabilize and recover this year.
In response to questions on whether China will cut subsidies for new energy vehicles in June and whether it will completely stop offering such subsidies by the end of 2020, Miao said the issue is still under discussion and the ministry "is likely to postpone the timeline".
"To build the 'mansion' of manufacturing next year, China will first ratchet up efforts in the research and development of core technologies. A group of State-level innovation centers on manufacturing will be built next year," said Miao.
He added that accelerated steps will also be made to transform traditional industries to boost the "resilience" of the construction.
"Efforts to transform traditional industries and nurture emerging sectors are of significance to China," said Wang Peng, deputy president of the China Center for Information Industry Development, a government think tank.
To maintain stable growth of the manufacturing industry, the first and foremost approach is to leverage advanced technologies to transform traditional industries, which accounted for 80 percent of the total sector, Wang said.
"Emerging industries, on the other hand, will decide China's position and competitiveness on the global stage. Sectors including 5G, artificial intelligence and the internet of vehicles will not only pull up manufacturing but will also stimulate investments in new infrastructure," he said.
China kicked off the commercialization of 5G in late October. GSMA, a global association of mobile operators, predicted the number of 5G users in China will reach 400 million by 2025, accounting for about one-third of the world's total.
By the end of last year, a total of 130,000 5G base stations have been built and more than 13.8 million smartphones have been shipped, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on Monday. US investment bank Goldman Sachs painted an even more optimistic picture, predicting that China would build about 1 million new 5G base stations this year, up from its original prediction of 600,000.
Another report by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology said that the superfast 5G is expected to directly bring 10.6 trillion yuan ($1.5 trillion) in economic output between 2020 to 2025, and 8 million jobs by 2030.
In terms of 6G, Wen Ku, head of information and communication at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out on Monday that China will maintain a steady pace in developing the next-generation technology.
"We started related work of 6G in 2017, but it is still in its infancy since we are still in the process of developing the 5G technology, including in terms of independent networking and applications," Wen said.
Miao added that China has enlarged the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group to IMT-2030 to join global efforts in promoting standards on such technologies. "Whether for 5G or 6G, China will never close the door on making globally unified standards."

Hepsiburada Chairperson Hanzade Do?an Boyner
Though countries around the world lag behind gender parity goals and sustainability targets for their development and economies, the empowerment of women will expedite the process of achieving significant objectives, Hanzade Do?an Boyner told Daily Sabah
Ensuring gender parity in economic and political participation will continue to remain an ominous challenge as societies around the world, be they developed or developing, are still struggling to provide accommodating conditions for further inclusion of women. Yet, in a global context where the biggest concern has become to create stronger and more sustainable economies of the future, women will have a leading role, remarked Hanzade Do?an Boyner, the chairperson of Turkish e-commerce company Hepsiburada.
Not restricted by any geographical distribution, gender inequality in the workplace or in the corridors of political powerhouses is a prevailing issue since women take far fewer roles in decision-making processes. In a recent report on Gender Parity, the World Economic Forum (WEF) predicted that it will take 257 years for women to achieve full equality in economic participation while the political gender gap will be closed in 95 years. Despite various reasons for the economic gender gap, the report highlighted low numbers of women in managerial positions, wage stagnation, labor force participation and income.
Presenting another perspective on the challenges women face while participating in the labor force, Boyner emphasized, in an exclusive interview with Daily Sabah, that women face educational or cultural barriers when entering the workforce and encounter issues ranging from child and elderly care responsibilities to various widely accepted customs that generally discourage women from working.
The WEF report also underscored that women's participation in the wider labor market has stalled and financial disparities are increasing. Globally, the trend is toward a deteriorating picture in emerging and developing economies, which is offsetting the gains made in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries.
In a bid to emphasize the wider impacts of women's economic empowerment, Boyner said, "It is important for people to understand that supporting women's economic empowerment is not only good for women; it is good for families and good for the economy."
In reference to the recent evidence reported by the global governance institutions and consultancy firms and speaking from her own experience at Hepsiburada, Boyner indicated that the evidence makes the economic imperative for investing in women clear from the standpoint of performance, innovation, and growth, as women bring unique and significant added value. "Thus," she added, "the contribution of women in the face of a rapidly changing global economy is critical."
"At Hepsiburada, we believe that strong and sustainable economies of the future can only be achieved when women have a leading role in them," the chairperson remarked.
With a strong belief in the necessity to include more women in the workplace and facilitate women's economic empowerment, Boyner spearheaded a number of initiatives at her company, which has been utilized as a platform to empower more women to have economic independence. In accordance with that principle, Hepsiburada launched the Technology Empowerment for Women Entrepreneurs Program in 2017.
"Leveraging Hepsiburada's digital and technological power to develop women's role in the Turkish economy, the Technology Empowerment program offers participants the opportunity to open virtual stores for free while receiving a range of benefits, including up to 75% off commission fees, free cargo shipping for six months, higher advertising visibility through fixed banner placement on Hepsiburada's website, SEO and SEM optimizations, AdWords and content support, free studio usage for photo shootings, operations and marketing support, on-site e-commerce trainings, and access to a direct special customer service hotline for assistance," Boyner said, explaining the initiative. The program also allows non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and foundations who support women to sign up on the site and receive the same benefits as partners of female entrepreneurs.
Speaking about the concrete results of the program, she said, in the span of three years, the Technology Empowerment program has reached more than 5,000 female entrepreneurs from 72 cities throughout Turkey. "Twenty-one percent of our total merchant base consists of women entrepreneurs now," she added.
With a view to ensuring that technology and digitalization serve as bridges – and not barriers, Boyner and her company continuously support female entrepreneurs with training and various custom-made solutions provided through their platform to help them increase sales. "Many women are also joining our recently launched 'Easy E-Export Model' and, therefore, have the opportunity to export their goods worldwide without any prior export experience," she noted.
Boyner, who will be speaking at a panel during the 50th Annual Meetings of the World Economic Forum, will elaborate on how social responsibility is good for business as the panel will address CEOs and leaders work through their companies toward "Creating Common Standards for Social Excellence."
Given a choice between doing what's most profitable and doing what's most responsible, Boyner stressed, businesses must navigate a multitude of challenging considerations – from the social to the financial to the environment – and often in the face of competing constituencies. Therefore, she will be narrating Hepsiburada's social responsibility program, "Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs through Technology" in addition to explaining how corporate actions create wider impacts on national and domestic economies. While elaborating on the outcomes of the Hepsiburada program and how it made a difference in the lives of women while creating value for the Turkish economy, Boyner will also emphasize the massive benefits that digital platforms can offer to people, companies, and economies when employed both responsibly and inclusively.
Turkey's leading e-commerce firm
The Turkish e-commerce industry has recorded steady growth in the last couple of years. In 2018, it reached a value of TL 60 billion with a 42% increase compared to the previous year. The average annual growth rate of the sector in 2014-2018, on the other hand, was 33%. While the ratio of online transactions in the total retail market in Turkey is 5.3%, the average of developed countries and developing countries was 5.9% and 11.1%, respectively.
"With a tech-savvy young population and a steady development of the internet infrastructure, Turkish e-commerce is one of the high-potential markets in the region and keeps developing rapidly," Boyner remarked.
Hepsiburada Group operates the leading e-commerce platform in Turkey and the greater region. The e-commerce platform is a fully integrated company with its last-mile delivery company Hepsijet, a 100,000-square-meter fulfillment center and a licensed payment company Hepsipay. It offers customers everything from laptops to fresh goods under the brand Hepsiexpress.
"Tens of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises, major global and local brands and a diverse set of entrepreneurs have been able to leverage Hepsiburada's platform and unleashed their business potential through e-commerce both at domestic and cross-border levels," Boyner stressed while speaking of the company's portfolio of shopowners.
"At Hepsiburada we believe in cooperation and rather than disrupting the retail industry; we are a driving force in the digital transformation of retail and our economy as a whole. Through this collaborative approach we have managed to create powerful partnerships both with established retail players as well as imported brands," the chairperson remarked.
The Turkish e-commerce industry has also been very attractive to foreign players. Global giants including eBay, Aliexpress and Amazon have been running operations in the country and ensuring tight market competition. "Our market is actually unique from this perspective that all major international e-commerce players are operating in Turkey," Boyner pointed out. Yet, she proudly underscored, Hepsiburada is the national champion and the local player as the leader of the market. "This kind of leadership by a local player is also quite unique in the industry and rarely seen in other markets," she boasted of the company's success.
In a detailed explanation of the company's philosophy of governance, she said, "Over the years, we have built a great deal of trust with our customers and merchant network. We run our business in a way where we connect the Silicon Valley mindset with Grand Bazaar culture. In other words, we provide great technological capabilities to make customers' lives easier and provide personalized experiences both for our customers and merchants."
Customer-driven in all aspects of work, Hepsiburada has the shortest fulfillment and delivery options for customers. "Through constant innovation and hard work, we will continue to have the best service for our customers and the most value for our suppliers and merchants," Boyner asserted.
Growth above market average
Enjoying a very buoyant performance in 2019, Hepsiburada as the leader of the Turkish e-commerce sector significantly outpaced the market growth last year, and the company expects to accelerate its performance even further in 2020 with a commitment to strong innovation and expansion pipeline.
"In 2019, our marketplace platform continued to grow very well and we have now more than 20,000 merchants on our platform," Boyner said. With the recently launched HepsiGlobal initiative, Hepsiburada enables thousands of SMEs, entrepreneurs and brands to access customers not just in Turkey but also around the world.
"Our 2019 performance reinforced our unique position as the end-to-end e-commerce platform both in Turkey and the region. Hepsiburada is an integrated ecosystem with approximately 25 million stock keeping units across over 35 categories and 150 million average monthly visits," Boyner explained, continuing, "Throughout 2019 we have continued to fulfill our customers' needs by launching new services. One of our most important initiatives in 2019 was the launch of Hepsiexpress."
Through a strategic partnership with the leading supermarket chain CarrefourSA, Hepsiburada launched a grocery delivery service called Hepsiexpress. With Hepsiexpress, customers can now get their daily or weekly supermarket needs including fresh and perishables delivered to their doors within two hours.
Hepsiburada has also become the only official e-commerce partner to the Apple brand where all Apple products can be purchased with specially designed experience on the platform ensuring peace of mind for its customers.
The e-commerce platform also launched a brand new financial solution. Forming a partnership with private Turkish lender DenizBank, Hepsiburada offers instant consumer loans on its platform. "When shopping through Hepsiburada, everyone, even if they don't have any bank account, can instantly access credit facility without a need to go to a branch office or pay any additional costs," the company's chairperson explained.
Referring to other services offered by Hepsiburada Group, Boyner pointed out that with the steady growth in demand of e-commerce customers, the company also continued to invest in new solutions. "We have launched Hepsijet, offering same-day delivery, next-day delivery and delivery by appointment services across major cities in Turkey," she said.
As part of an integrated platform approach, the payment solutions product Hepsipay will remain another key area of focus in the operations. Through Hepsipay, Turkey's leading e-commerce platform company offers new payment methods and services improving the shopping experience even more for its customers.
"Our e-commerce model provides necessary infrastructure and marketing tools for business owners and eliminates borders of trade by opening businesses to different markets domestically and abroad. On our platform, we bridge tens of thousand merchants and millions of customers every day for the best shopping experience overall," Boyner said, drawing attention to the principal operational guidance of her company.
Providing numerous advantages for customers, merchants and brands on the platform, Hepsiburada pledges to remain committed to increasing productivity in trade and the development of local economies.
Drawing attention to the impact of rapid digitalization of the industry on the governance principles and the actions of boards, Boyner explained that in the current rapidly changing market, leadership in a good board is more fluid and collaborative. "The board's actions that move organizations forward so they can successfully meet challenges will need to be more visible and quicker. In short, they need to be the custodian of change, respond to mitigate risk in crisis, identify opportunities for growth and create future leaders more vigorously than before," she explained.
When asked about the challenges to regulate tax regimes in the age of digitalization that has transformed business models and conventions of engaging in trade, Boyner stressed that the digital activities are borderless and global players, in particular, gain revenues beyond their borders from all around the world, sometimes even avoiding certain tax payments from their earnings.
"Policymakers around the world definitely have a challenge. While inaction could lead to continued and significant revenue losses for governments, many of which are in dire need of such revenue, regulation could easily inhibit trade and investment," she said an concluded, "We believe the recent step taken by our government on digital taxation provides balanced approach in this regard and we are fully supportive of those decisions."
In line with the global trend to regulate the earnings by digital companies, Turkey has also recently introduced a digital service tax. BEIJING, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday stressed racing against time and keeping abreast with history to reach the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
"Time and history wait for no one as they are both on the side of hard workers," said Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
Xi made the remarks while addressing a Chinese Lunar New Year reception held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Under the strong leadership of the CPC, all members of the Party, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups must fear no wind or wave, rise up to challenges and keep marching toward the glorious goal of national rejuvenation and the great prospect of building a community with a shared future for humanity, Xi said.
At the reception, held by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, Xi extended Lunar New Year's greetings to Chinese people of all ethnic groups, compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and overseas Chinese.
Party and state leaders Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji, Han Zheng and Wang Qishan were among the more than 2,000 people attending the reception. Li Keqiang chaired the event.
Xi noted in his speech that new and significant progress has been made in the past year toward building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
He mentioned major events during the year, including the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland and resolute efforts to safeguard the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao, as well as celebrations marking the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
A campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission" was also carried out to demand the more than 90 million Party members remember to always stay with the people.
"In the new year, we must secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and fighting poverty," Xi said, adding that achieving this first centenary goal is a milestone in the process of realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
The results, Xi said, must be recognized by the people and stand the test of time.
Xi said the Chinese nation, with a civilization stretching back over 5,000 years, has made indelible contributions to the civilization and progress of mankind. But the nation was held back for too long by various internal and external troubles in modern times.
That is why, Xi said, the Chinese people have always had an extraordinary sense of urgency and appreciation of the underlying trend of the times.
From now to the middle of this century, the Chinese people will strive to build China into a great modern socialist country. It will be a great era in which a new splendid chapter of the Chinese civilization will be written, he said.
Every Chinese person must feel proud of living in such a great era, Xi said.
"We must maintain strategic direction and resolve, stay united, work hard and forge ahead against all odds," Xi said.
