?The Origin Story ???
The idea for SAADAA sprouted from a conversation between Akshay Shivpuri and Mahesh Tekwani during their time running the highly-rated Blue Beds Hostel in Jaipur. Their discussions about the 'burden of consumerism' and the desire for sustainable, fulfilling choices led to the creation of SAADAA. From a modest 100 sq. ft. garage, the duo launched a women’s wear brand committed to style, comfort, and value. ????
?The Differentiator ????
Unlike the often overwhelming world of designer wear, SAADAA focuses on providing timeless basics that are both high-quality and affordable. Our collections feature subtle, understated designs crafted from breathable, natural fabrics like cotton and linen. Each piece is created by over 200 skilled artisans, ensuring craftsmanship and quality.
?SAADAA stands out as an eco-friendly brand. Our packaging bags are made from recycled cotton, and our tags and visiting cards are crafted from plantable seed paper. We also support micro-enterprises within our supply chain, enhancing their skills in fabric knowledge, procurement, and quality. ????
?The Growth Journey ??
Starting with our website as the primary sales channel, SAADAA expanded into e-commerce marketplaces like Myntra and Amazon in December 2023. The brand's revenue grew threefold in FY23, and the team size increased nearly four times, from 28 in February 2023 to over 120 by January 2024. We’ve also ventured into offline retail to promote sustainable fashion and mindful buying. ????
?What’s Next for SAADAA ????
Looking ahead, SAADAA plans to open four exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) in Jaipur and explore large-format retail stores to enhance our offline presence. We’ll also expand our digital footprint by listing on Nykaa, Ajio, and other platforms. Our upcoming launches include the completion of our Better Basics lineup for women and the introduction of a Better Basics collection for men. By December 2024, we aim to achieve INR 50 Lakh in daily revenue. Additionally, we’re considering a FOCO (franchise-owned and company-operated) model for 2025 to drive further offline growth. ??????
