There are several questions about the importance of certificates and experience for individuals and their role in improving organizations, and the questions go deeper about which is more critical, the certificate or experience. The certificate is often considered a key to a job, especially specialized jobs of an advanced scientific nature, while expertise plays a significant role in refining skills and providing... Hands that work efficiently and quickly to complete assigned tasks. Academic certificates, practical experiences, and training certificates must be combined logically, enabling job seekers or employees seeking promotions to follow the correct path and the optimal method to choose the appropriate training according to the work needs and for the benefit of individuals and employers.
From this standpoint, it is essential to clarify the concepts through the term “Differential curves of work” according to the above diagram, where the coordinates are divided into educational and academic certificates on the one hand, and their corresponding practical experiences and training certificates, taking into account the time factor and the eligibility for job sequences on the other hand.
The interaction between them was divided into four basic categories as follows:
The first category is the category of students who have qualifications and are continuing their studies without obtaining practical experience or intensive training courses. Companies view these people as very qualified academic people to hold positions. They are cautious in hiring them initially because they need more experience to manage and lead others.
The second category is those who are academically educated and have a fair amount of experience and training certificates. After verifying their talents and skills, they can be easily qualified to hold leadership positions and organize and manage work teams.
The third category is the category of those who have studied to some extent and have a great deal of practical experience and training courses required by the labor market. The owners of this category have great patience. Companies view them as professionals who can prepare themselves and adapt to the workplace, and they enjoy the advantage of skill in performing their work.
The fourth and final category is the category that has substandard academic qualifications or does not possess them at all. In contrast, they have long experience in the field of work and some training courses, if any. Companies rely on them less in supervisory, administrative work or even in training them. Instead, their importance lies in the auxiliary work that helps those in the first three categories to perform their tasks, and they usually have been on the same career ladder for many years.
Companies in the private sector usually prefer the majority of their employees and workers to be from the second and third categories, as they are the two categories that combine certificates, experience, and training skills. They can rely on them to raise their efficiency through training to hold higher administrative positions or even assign tasks of a precise professional nature to complete the work efficiently, with high quality, and to achieve planned objectives.
