?mmiUkki reveals it's new Website

Website has opened with ?mmiUkki's new visual look is on display for you to enjoy it! It's been a long way to Tipperary, but it's worth waiting for something good. Our update started with defining ?mmiUkki's new look. We told you about this on LinkedIn article, which is now also readable on our blog "?mmiUkki Stories". We tell you now what is on our website, thus enabling you to navigate where your interests are.

On our website's home page you find pictures of our designs, links to Summer and Winter Collection. Plus possibility to subscribe to ?mmiUkki Newsletter, which comes once a month, telling you first our latest updates and plans for the future. Subscribe from our header.

Here you can choose the item that pleases you most, they are all individuals and unique by having their personal names. On each design there is a plate attached to it telling you your item's name. First name comes from our designers' family and Last name has the same name as the estate where the upcycled wood comes from. If you choose Margit Mets?ranta to be your favorite, she's named after designer's mother and the home of the recycled wood. Everybody and everything has a story.

This is the place where you read about the stories behind the designs, how they came to be, where the inspiration comes from. Family stories, the people behind the names of the products. How the items come alive, what kind of craftmanship is needed to bring the designs about, not forgetting to give you also the inspiration for nordic interior design. Also our news and press releases can be found here.

Wood Story - where the old wood comes from

At the moment our recycled wood comes from a single estate in western Finland, but there will be more estates and stories to tell as time goes by. We want to appreciate the past and the generations Building Finland after the WW2. Agriculture has moved on, but the old buildings can still be saved to live another 100 years on a new modern design.

PS: First Limited edition of our furniture is soon ready and available for you

?mmiUkki designs are of finnish design and production except for the dark chromium plating, which is done in Germany since in Finland there isn't any company that would do it. This is a pity, but we trust in German quality as well.

So, please be patient. We hope to inform you of the online shop opening as soon as possible: we are aiming for March 2020.
