Meet Your Professional Community Online
For many small businesses, it is essential to bring professionals together - whether hosting a local gathering with potential clients, meeting up with other business owners to discuss challenges and opportunities, or teaching a full room about the latest social media best practices. Unfortunately, in today’s “new abnormal,” these types of traditional gatherings are not possible for many, even while the need to stay connected with the community continues.
We recognize how important it was to equip you with the tools you needed to bring your professional community together, online, and at scale. That’s why we are excited to roll out a number of new tools and features to continue to help you connect with your community.
Hosting LinkedIn Events Online
?Last year, we launched LinkedIn Events, a tool to help our members seamlessly create and join professional events. With Events on LinkedIn, you can easily invite your connections, manage your event, have conversations with other attendees, and stay in touch online after the event ends. We’ve made some updates to better serve the needs of businesses and organizers -- from making it easier to host a virtual event, adding new features for organizing and hosting your event on LinkedIn, to adding new tools to keep conversations going before, during and after an event. Here are some more details:
- Host your event safely, in a trusted environment: You can now host your event from your Page directly, with an easy switch to have your event be in-person or virtual.
- Attract the right professional audiences: We’ve made it easy for you to promote your event to your Page followers and send direct invitations to your LinkedIn connections. You can also reach your target audiences outside of your network with paid targeting, while members can take advantage of organic discovery features to more easily find your event.
- Drive buzz and engagement for your event: You can build buzz for your event by sharing an update to your Page followers or event feed and recommending key posts there for attendees to check out.
- Get more mileage out of your events: Once your virtual event is over, you can keep the conversation going within the Video tab on your LinkedIn Page.
We encourage you to try out our new tools today for your next virtual event! Learn more about our events product in our help center.
