Huh-7

Huh7 characters and applications Huh7 is hypersensitive to the hepatitis C virus (HCV) so that Huh-7 and its derivatives are commonly used as a hepatoma model for HCV infectious research and related drug development. Their expression of a Y220C-mutated form of p53 is aberrantly stable but transcriptionally inactive. Huh-7 cells are heterogeneous, as the chromosome number of most Huh7 cells is between 55 and 63 (mode 60).
