This is such an insightful video highlighting the essential roles and responsibilities of an Executive Producer. It’s a topic that deserves more attention, especially in Nollywood, where the role of an Executive Producer is often misunderstood. Many believe that the role is simply about providing funds, and there’s also a common misconception that a Director can easily step into the role of an Executive Producer. While it’s not entirely wrong, there are distinct skills and responsibilities that only an Executive Producer can handle. Producing and managing a film project goes beyond working with actors and crew. An Executive Producer is involved in overseeing the overall execution of the project, ensuring everything aligns with both the creative vision and the business objectives of the project. Handling one of the toughest F&I Objections:? "I'll take my chances" I mean, what do you say to this? Often times this a customer who is dead set on their decision and be quite difficult to close. But, they inadvertently open you, the smart F&I manager, up to a fantastic rebuttal... "If you're saying you'll take your chances, that means you do see somewhat of a risk don't you?"? The customer will likely say "well, yea! There's risk in everything"? That's when you say "Well...wouldn't you like to transfer that risk over to someone else for just a few dollars a day? What happens in a western shootout on set. The first 9 minutes of this video you will see some of the staging for the "Open Range" shootout. If you read about the "Rust" trial next week, you will hear experts say things that you do not do with firearms. Most experts have not been on set, and in this video you will see a lot of things that make you think "he just pointed a revolver at a little girl." The difference in film versus real life is, yes we point firearms at people on set, the difference is producers who understand the roles of Property Masters and Armourers will seek out the best to be on their sets and will look at film credits, not tax credits on a resume. We filmed the "Open Range" shootout for 12 days straight flawlessly and in my career as a Property Master I have had actors fire over 500,000 rounds on westerns with zero incidents. In this video the mystery of Kevin fanning 8 shots out of his revolver. My answer always was, he had two revolvers, but in the film edit they did not show the switch, but this behind the scenes does.
