If you know me then you know I'm a huge advocate of storytelling. Yesterday, I had a very interesting conversation with a client who oversees the marketing function in a global company. She was lamenting the fact that all her marketing and lead-generation efforts seem to go nowhere. It got me thinking about how using storytelling as a tool in training salespeople could be one major way to ensure that 1. everyone in the organisation is telling customers the same story and 2. salespeople can better connect, understand and 'close-the-deal' This is definitely one major missed opportunity in many organisations.
