Last week, I travelled to the Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix with my son and dad. It was an unforgettable experience spanning three generations, filled with the roaring engines and electric atmosphere of an F1 race.
We had OK tickets (read: not those Ultra Gold sits!), which made me evaluate that experience. My interim conclusion is that the digital experience is better than IRL.
Why?
?? Everything Everywhere All at Once
TV broadcasts capture every crucial moment from multiple angles, ensuring you don't miss a thing. From overtakes to strategic pit stops, the comprehensive coverage on TV is unparalleled.
?? AI-Powered Pit Stops
AI technology in TV broadcasts offers predictive analytics and advanced insights, enriching the viewing experience with real-time data and deeper engagement.
?? Trackside talk
The expert commentary and in-depth analysis provided during TV broadcasts enhance understanding and enjoyment of the race. Almost everyone on the ground was watching their phones to understand what was happening on the track.
So, all in all, the ordinary people's stands were full of folks watching the video coverage of the event they were attending IRL. You could think of that as the ultimate application of Augmented Reality, but with a crowd of over 300,000 ?? , the app powered by Salesforce really struggles to provide a light and effective companion to racegoers.
Will I go back? Perhaps, but it'll require a different ticket
What are your thoughts? Do you prefer watching F1 live or on TV?
