Was a pleasure to be one of the speakers and share my insights and experiences on how to approach AI in this new era. Talked about the lessons learned @ Nexthink, how to approach genAI and integrate it in the product vs experiment outside of the product, how to do discoveries and evaluate them, success metrics and how they differ from traditional product metrics, benchmarking, etc... The importance of accepting to pivot fast and evaluate what to focus on. The important decision about centralized vs distributed AI from the point of view of both the product and the organization. How to build a balanced team that focuses on genAI and the important role software engineers play in that. How it is important not to neglect other "AI" subdomains likes ML, etc... Happy to share these insights in a post if people are interested.

Happy and proud to have won Didomi's 2024 hackathon on AI innovation with the dream team Virginie Di Stefano & Dorian Cayron! The challenge: create an MVP in 2 half days that improves productivity or our product. Problem statement: while most of our sales calls are recorded, they are an underutilized goldmine of insights. Our solutions are set to roll out across the company and we project to save over 300 hours (42 days) of work annually. (1) Automated MEDDIC completion and analysis → MEDDIC is our internal sales qualification framework, helping us assess a prospect’s fit (metrics, decision-makers, pain points, etc.). → Keeping it up to date is time-consuming but drives a 15% increase in win rates. → We used Praiz, Make, and OpenAI API to automatically populate MEDDIC fields in Salesforce. → After every call, MEDDIC is updated, and missing info or blind spots are flagged for the team. (2) Market and competition insights for revenue leadership and product marketing → Our goal is to always have the latest market and competition insights without manually listening to every prospect call. → Using Praiz, meeting minutes are pushed in a standardized format to Slack or Google Drive. → With Dust's RAG capabilities (Retrieval-Augmented-Generation), key insights are recapped over specific timeframes on Slack (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly recaps).

During a panel discussion, mid-sized software companies within our portfolio shared first-hand insights on how to embark on AI integration. ? The Verdane team had a lot of fun at last week's SaaSiest CEO network kickoff, attended by 100+ business leaders from across the Nordics! P?l Malmros had the pleasure of joining a panel during the day together with Deel, Oxx and Float, with a couple of takeaways: - Going into 2024, the overall sentiment is that business leaders can start planning for an upturn – if we will feel it for real in 2024 or later is an open question, but the outlook is more stable and potentially better than a year ago - The main trend that will affect us all in 2024 is AI. SaaS companies need a moat that goes beyond pure technology - network effects, data assets, deep vertical or domain expertise, and being a trusted advisor to clients are things not easily replicated even with AI - Capital markets: The last 12-18 months were very quiet, other than for deeply profitable software companies. Conditions are now starting to normalize; multiples will “never” be back at 2021 levels, but the appetite for growth companies that grow fast and efficiently is returning.
