5 Steps On The Path Towards Informed Simplicity

5 Steps On The Path Towards Informed Simplicity

We know you're busy.

We also know that while you're working hard to get the job done—and maybe even doing it well—you probably feel like there's always something else you could be doing to make things go even smoother than they are.

Your team probably feels the same way.

Try Informed Simplicity.

Informed simplicity is a management mindset that encourages us to eliminate the things we don't need to operate most efficiently.

Here are 5 steps you can take today to implement informed simplicity as a manager and leader of a team or company:

1. Look at your company's structure and processes and make sure they're efficient and streamlined—you should see where things can be improved by eliminating unnecessary steps or duplicated efforts across departments/teams/etc.

2. If it's an ongoing task or project, ask yourself if there's a way to automate or streamline it so that it doesn't take as much time and energy. If it's something new, ask yourself if there's an existing process that can be reused instead of creating new ones from scratch every time.

3. Evaluate how much time each employee spends on administrative tasks vs. getting work done for clients/customers/etc.—is there anything that could be done differently?

4. Make sure everyone knows what their role is to avoid duplication of effort or unclear expectations (this applies both internally within your organization and externally with customers/clients)

5. Have a system that allows everyone involved with a project or process to be up to date on progress or changes (this can be as simple as an email chain or written document that gets circulated among team members).

There you have it! 5 steps to help you implement informed simplicity as a manager.

I hope you've found this helpful.
