So many times, esp as a #HandsOnMommy and as a #HomeMaker, I struggle and wish we had people on the #DesignTeam so they could #empathize basis their #actualExperiences and then design something safe and useful, they sell as #Innovation Look around the home and you will find 1000 such stuff, esp in your kitchen! - The stainless steel pot with stainless steel handles (instead of rubber / plastic to protect us from burning our hands)- 90% times we’re cooking in a rush and need to have a safe way to take the curry off the stove!! - The even hotter cast iron pan with a long handle that’s red hot as you make dosa / roti - they give you an ugly glove kinda material that you supposedly can “strap on” when cooking n “strap off” when cleaning - neither is heat resistant nor helpful! It melts n is now a useless ugly thing stuck on top of the handle coming in the way as you wrap the kitchen towel on the handle to ensure you don’t have “3rd degree burns” every time you wish to feed your family dosa / roti on an otherwise healthy cast iron cookware - Glass / steel water bottles with cheap / flimsy plastic covers that break within a week of (ab)use at school! - The list goes on…… Goes on to prove how being “helpful” or being #Creativewithoutempathy actually jeopardises safety and well-being at many times - it reduces efficiency and effectiveness for the person, and could be certainly embarrassing even for #SallyRide Can you think of such inventions / innovations that are actually safety hazards just cos someone didn’t think this through from a consumer perspective!? #100TamponsFor7Days #InventionForTheSakeOfInvention #NotHelpful
Believe it or not this is a true story: Ahead of her 1983 space flight, which made her the first American woman to travel to space, NASA engineers suggested sending astronaut #SallyRide with 100 #tampons for a week-long trip. “No,” she later recalled responding, “that would not be the right number.” Just another example of why even one woman on a team makes a world of difference! Marcia Belsky, thank you for putting this story to song ?? #WomensHistoryMonth

As I lol ?? at this post - my 15 year old son pointed out - those rocket scientists were ahead of their time ??? : Leaders today talk about DE&I but back in 1983 those rocket scientists were walking the talk… Diversity - they had a woman ?? on the team Equity - they knew that without period products ?? on the rocket ship one member of the crew could/would be disadvantaged Inclusion - they went out and stocked that rocket ?? with tampons to create an environment where the one female team member would know she belonged. This is what #malealleyship looks like. Conversely just last week I was told by a female ????♀?executive board member that: period products in the workplace are not something she could advocate for because periods are a private matter?? This is not #womensupportingwomen. Periods are a biological fact. Those rocket scientists knew it and tried their best ?? We as women need to be talking with our fathers, brothers, husbands and sons… I will begin my 50th journey around the sun ?? later this year and it is my mission that my daughters generation of women have period products in the workplace and do not have to suffer the indignity of improvising with toilet paper ?? If NASA could do it in 1983 it’s time everyone else did it don’t you think? ? #GenderEquality?#LeanIn?#womeninbusiness?#Diversity?#Inclusion?#Sustainability?#OrganicMondays?#WomenSupportingWomen?#Leadership?#advance #zurich? I want prints of all of these drawings...
This is my favorite historical presentation! In 1969, NASA had a plan that would've put humans on Mars in 1982. #SpaceEconomy

It's been 55 years since Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, and in that time, space exploration has come a long way. We've been living and working in space for more than two decades, pushing the various new things of human achievement. At present different people and different companies have invented various technologies. AI is the main achievement among them. I believe the dream of living on Mars will come true soon. #SpaceExploration #NASA #Artemis #Innovation #AI #ArtifialIntlligence
"The Eagle has landed." On July 20, 1969—55 years ago today—Apollo 11 touched down on the Moon. Later that day, @NASA astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the lunar surface. Now, we've been living and working in space for more than 20 consecutive years—and we're getting ready to build a long-term presence at the Moon and send humans to Mars. Who else has NASA in their feed? I had to smile when I saw this post and couldn't help but think that the universe had worked its timely magic. ? NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration shared this post last week to mark the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It happened to coincide with the time my TEDX talk was published which had the moon-landing weaved into the idea I presented. ? The NASA website, along with about 25 other?sources, including information produced by the Institute of Physics and the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum, were instrumental in my talk research for stories, facts and anecdotes. ? I may not have been born when Armstrong landed on the moon, but as a child visiting Cape Canaveral, I learnt those infamous words: “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” ? From wearing my moon brooch and pendant for good luck when I delivered my talk live on the recent TEDxNorthwich stage, to borrowing space-themed props and discussing lesser-known stories with a local space enthusiast, the moon landing theme I chose to illustrate how we can think differently about legacy was very purposefully crafted into my talk. I guess the inspiration of that moment in history endures as do the ripples of legacy-building. ? I invite you to take a listen to my TED? talk at: https://lnkd.in/dYAJmtas ? #missioncomplete #thereisnosuchthingasjust #onesmallstep #networking #TEDx #TEDx2024 #TEDxNorthwich #events #community #purpose #connection #collaboration #ideasthatcanchangetheworld #ideasworthspreading #northwich #cheshire ? ----------------- ? Hi, I'm Kirsty, A Networking & Relationship Marketeer on a mission to facilitate more Connection with Purpose. Open to new projects, clients, collaborations and opportunities where our values align. ? Values: Connection, Collaboration & Community. Whenever looking for alien life, NASA has a simple guideline: "Follow the water." So, since water is known to be on Europa, it makes sense to search for life there. I suspect, however, that we are still in the early days of space given that we only reached the moon only a little over 50 years ago. The "Follow the water" adage might become obsolete in the not-too-distant future. https://lnkd.in/gj3Ej2Pp

BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION GatesFoundation.org TCI GALLERY SPRING 2024 THEMES: Tenri.org CRYPTOCURRENCY CAPITALISM'S BEST*END HOMELESS. https://lnkd.in/e55sRd8b CRYPTO-FINANCE & WHAT'S ON THE TABLE. MR. MS. TEEFEY & SELENA GOMEZ-Rare-SuperStar WonderMind.com*SelenaGomez.com I ABSOLUTELY SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY. I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE INFANT DEMOCRATIC-CAPITALISTIC MINDS OF TODAY BLAME THE USA GOVERNMENT. THAT SAID THEN IS ANY GOVERNMENT TO BE BLAMED FOR THE HOMELESS PROBLEMS PLAGUING THE WORLD.?... NO. GOD KNOWS ALL THE HEADACHES USA GOVERNMENT HAVE WITH THE FOREIGN AFFAIRS. THE NEW WORLD IS PRACTICALLY A SHOCK TO WITNESS. PEOPLE "ONLY WORKING" TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL... "IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." THUS DOESN'T THAT ALSO INCLUDE THE HOMELESS. THE HOMELESS ARE OUT THERE... ARE YOU.? HOMELESS A OPPORTUNITY MISUNDERSTOOD..... The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled. https://lnkd.in/eB98Jnv9 GOOGLE. EXAMPLE, IF YOU NEED TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANY REASON OR MORE SO LETS SAY THE "HOMELESS" PROBLEM WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE TIME & MONEY CONSUMING BUT IN ONE DIRECTION TOWARD THE HOMELESS. HOWEVER CRYPTOCURRENCY CAN POSSIBLE ALLOWS AN EXPENDITURE OF CURRENCY TO BENEFIT ALL WHO USES THE CRYPTO & REGARDLESS OF HOW IT'S CONSUMED. THEREFORE IF A CRYPTO "HOMELESS" CURRENCY EXISTED IT'S MORE HIGHLY LIKELY THAT THE HOMELESS PROBLEM CAN BE VANQUISHED BECAUSE CURRENCY-FINANCES IT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO BE TAPPED INTO FOR HOMELESS RESOLUTIONS. THANK YOU FOR READING.
It's the final countdown... to join our next class of NASA astronauts! If you're still working on your application to #BeAnAstronaut, make sure you've launched it by 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 16: https://lnkd.in/duWB8Vch

Let’s talk about some impressive figures and incredible context here. 55 years ago, the Apollo 11 mission, with the Saturn V rocket and Apollo spacecraft - traveled from the East Coast of Florida to the moon. While the actual flight / mission distance was just over 950,000 miles - let’s just acknowledge the distance to the moon being an average of about 239,000 miles. 239,000 miles. That’s like flying around the Earth 10 times. - What was going on 55 years prior to that? Let’s rewind to the year 1914. In the same state, on the Gulf Coast, was the first regularly scheduled airline using fixed wing aircraft. From St. Petersburg to Tampa (SPT Airboat Line) - about 23 miles. 23 miles. Approximately 1/10,000th of the distance to the moon. I’m sure there were longer continuous flights prior to that point but as a baseline for the advancement of air travel - that was about it. - In 1949, 35 years later, was the first nonstop flight around the world - just over 23,000 miles. 23,000 miles. 1,000 times farther than in 1914 but less than 1/10th of the distance to the moon. - 55 years from now will be 2079 and just over 10,000 times the distance to the moon should get us to right around . . . Neptune. Let’s go NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration

Astronaut, Terranaut Oceanaut? Why should ocean be any different from space? In space, a hell of lot of things can go wrong, same with ocean. In space, you have NASA to protect you where they can. In ocean you have no one to protect you from the vicious overcharges that occur now and during the "Containergeddon Asteroid" bomb of 2021-2022 (that are still repairable), not even Bruce Willis. Meet:?Steve Ferreira, Oceanaut. #oceanfreight?#supplychain?#logistics?#tpm24?#freightaudit
