And we are live with JINAware... We are finally testing our first App: https://lnkd.in/eVd9-PYA What is it? We are thrilled to announce the beta launch of JINAware, a crucial step towards our ultimate goal: building JINAlert. To build JINAlert, we have devised a step-by-step plan where we release an app focused on a single feature to validate our tech. This is the first: JINAware! JINAware was designed for people with hearing difficulties. It's the foundation of our vision to empower individuals with hearing challenges, offering them awareness of their surroundings through sound alerts. Now what? Download the app, select sounds you would like to be notified of when they occur in your vicinity, and remain aware of what's happening around you. It runs on Android smartphones and smartwatches. We need all the feedback we can get to understand how it performs in different environments. TechInnovations Hub #JINAware #HearingAidTechnology #Accessibility #Innovation #FeedbackWanted

Auricurrus: Your Navigation Assistance Through Silence Mobile App Repo: https://lnkd.in/ghXPUsjM Watch App Repo: https://lnkd.in/gQKjVfmX Individuals with hearing impairment often encounter challenges in building the confidence necessary to learn how to drive and obtain a driver's license. This hesitation is frequently rooted in societal doubts concerning the ability of deaf individuals to drive safely. In our survey of local Indonesian deaf communities, we discovered that 83% of deaf drivers express apprehension about having limited awareness while driving. Additionally, 60% of respondents attribute previous driving accidents to their own hearing impairment, despite research demonstrating that deaf drivers are as competent as their non-deaf counterparts. As a result of this, a majority of deaf individuals opt not to pursue a driver's license. Our objective is to foster confidence in both society's perception of deaf drivers and in deaf drivers themselves. Consequently, after proposing the concept to my Google Solution Challenge team (comprising Alana Jocelyn Natania Massie, Vian Sebastian, and Jalalludin Mukhtafi), I assumed responsibility for both the front-end and back-end development of Auricurrus—your navigation assistance through silence. This application seamlessly integrates with your smartwatch, providing feedback through visual, auditory, and haptic interfaces when road noise is detected. We take great pride in presenting our prototype for this year's Google Solution Challenge!

Powered by artificial intelligence, Eye Tracking gives users a built-in option for navigating iPad and iPhone with just their eyes. Designed for users with physical disabilities, Eye Tracking uses the front-facing camera to set up and calibrate in seconds, and with on-device machine learning, all data used to set up and control this feature is kept securely on device, and isn’t shared with Apple. Eye Tracking works across iPadOS and iOS apps, and doesn’t require additional hardware or accessories. With Eye Tracking, users can navigate through the elements of an app and use Dwell Control to activate each element, accessing additional functions such as physical buttons, swipes, and other gestures solely with their eyes. #apple #accessibility #ai #artificialintelligence #aiml #ml #usercentricdesign https://lnkd.in/dwsmYQke

I am pre-ordering my Airpods 4 and here is how it can can create a great impact in my life! As someone with an unusual case of partial deafness in my right ear due to a injury, I've always been intrigued by hearing assistance technology. The new hearing aid feature is great & promising on how it can help people with mild hearing loss. It was surprising for me to know that there are more than 1B people with mild to moderate hearing loss, JUST LIKE ME. I didnt know there was others with the same complication. Once, in a hockey match, the ball broke my nose, causing a deviated septum. In a rare complication, this led to reduced airflow in my right nostril and eventual leading to partial hearing loss in my right ear. Thats my story. It is simple. But it did leave a long lasting impact on my hearing. Leaving every UX & CX topics aside, it just looks like a non-stigmatizing solution that looks like regular earbuds simultaneously working as a hearing aid. This is just great (For me, atleast). By incorporating this feature into a mainstream product, Apple is making accessibility more... ACCESSIBILE. It's inspiring to see how thoughtful UX and CX design in tech products can potentially transform lives, especially for those with unique health challenges. This is a prime example of how prioritizing user needs in product development can lead to truly innovative solutions. #airpods #HearingHealth #ux #AirPodsPro #accessibility #appleevent #apple2024 #hearingimpaired

Mind-blowing innovation from Apple A few days ago, I shared a post on how bugs can transform into features, turning challenges into valuable user experiences. Apple's latest update is a perfect example of this. Usually, we all say that too much volume from any earphones can damage our ears, but Apple has cracked that! After extensive research, they introduced a groundbreaking feature in the #AirPodsPro2. With nearly 1.5 billion people affected by hearing loss, and 75% of diagnosed cases remaining untreated, Apple saw an opportunity to reimagine the potential of their product. Now, the AirPods Pro 2 headphones will soon become an FDA-cleared hearing aid! This is an amazing step forward in making technology more accessible and inclusive. This showcases the power of #problem_solving, #user_centered_design, and #accessibility-focused UX. Apple’s #empathy_design approach ensures that their products don't just meet basic needs but create impactful, life-changing solutions. By listening to users and addressing their pain points, they’ve transformed a challenge into an opportunity for improving millions of lives.
