Insurance products are inherently very complex creatures. Pricing, insurance, understanding the risk, and how I cover that in a legal agreement enforceable in courts. All of that makes it particularly hard to digitize insurance products to get on a portal or website and sell them through e-commerce. That's the challenge that we had. We've experienced this firsthand as the tech team inside a new insurance company. We wanted to innovate on the technology and software sides and develop a product that only requires the people who own those insurance products to always bring engineers up to the loop. It's like Shopify for insurance, if you may. You don't need to build the same e-commerce website every time; you can use a platform that understands e-commerce.
