Thanks to the generous support of our community, Boss Women Matter (BWM) Round Table Talks have become a vital resource for Black women founders in Chicagoland. These open dialogues are a lifeline for Black women founders and serve as a cornerstone for community building, policy advocacy, and capacity building. While substantial progress has been made, the journey to economic equality for Black women founders remains challenging. Despite persistent systemic funding disparities to underrepresentation, our expanding community of founders is steadfast in their commitment to overcoming these barriers and creating a more equitable economic landscape. ? Never before has our work been more critical. By dismantling these obstacles, we not only empower individuals but also uplift entire communities. Each Black woman founder supported is a beacon of hope, illuminating a brighter future for us all. ? So today we invite you to make an impact with a powerful statement of support. Your contribution will not only help us expand our Round Table Talks, but provide mentorship, and advocate for policies. Together, we can empower the next generation of Black women entrepreneurial leaders. Will you join us in creating a brighter future? People & Culture Leader ? Driving Employee Engagement + Performance + Well-being through world-class Employee Experience where human and business potential thrives.
Thanks Aleya Harris, CPCE for your insights and being an absolute force of nature and inspiring action at USC Women's Conference Virtual Mentorship & Networking Session tonight! I had the honor to host a breakout session on one of my favorite topics - NetGiving - fostering meaningful connections and genuine relationships and offering resources, advice, or guidance without expecting immediate transactions in return. There was great vulnerability and generosity in the group. What insights, resources, or words of wisdom can you share? Let's build a supportive community together! - Tomorrow is my last day (involuntary) at work. How do I leave with grace and remark on the next chapter with success? - I’ve been applying to internships and none have accepted me yet, any advice? - I’m a recent grad, and I’m not feeling accomplished at all because despite earning my degree, I haven’t found work, and I’m not sure I’m clear on my career path.? - I’ve been trying to break into the entertainment industry and am hitting dead ends. I’m lacking a network to help.? - I’ve passed The Bar (lawyer) but am feeling lost- is this even the career I’m looking for? #netgiving #collectivewisdom #helpingeachother #generositymatters
It was such a pleasure gaining insights from Aleya Harris, CPCE, at tonight's USC Women's Conference pre-conference virtual session! Thanks to the USC Trojan Women's Network board members who hosted break-out sessions to build connections - Gitanjali Mohindra, Kristin Sedgwick, MCM Ritu Portugal, Esq. & Karin Irani. We look forward to connecting with everyone tomorrow attending USC Women's Conference on campus!
