In honor of Cyber Awareness Month, here is my 5th cybersecurity tip on #Phishing. Cybersecurity Tip #5: Be cautious before clicking on email attachments or links. According to Deloitte, 91% of all cyber-attacks begin with a phishing email to an unexpected victim. Phishing attacks often trick us into revealing sensitive information or infecting our devices with malware. Here are 5 things you can do to stay safe: 1.????Verify the sender: Always double-check the sender's email address. If it looks suspicious, don't open the email. 2.????Hover before you click: Hover your mouse over links to see the destination URL. If it seems unrelated to the email's content, it might be a phishing attempt. 3.????Beware of urgency: Phishers often create a sense of urgency.?Don’t rush; think before you act. 4.????Use two-factor authentication (2FA): Enable 2FA wherever possible to add an extra layer of security. 5.????Stay informed: Cyber threats evolve. Keep learning about new phishing techniques and stay one step ahead. Let's make the internet a safer place together.
