In honor of Cyber Awareness Month, here is my 5th cybersecurity tip on #Phishing. Cybersecurity Tip #5: Be cautious before clicking on email attachments or links. According to Deloitte, 91% of all cyber-attacks begin with a phishing email to an unexpected victim. Phishing attacks often trick us into revealing sensitive information or infecting our devices with malware. Here are 5 things you can do to stay safe: 1.????Verify the sender: Always double-check the sender's email address. If it looks suspicious, don't open the email. 2.????Hover before you click: Hover your mouse over links to see the destination URL. If it seems unrelated to the email's content, it might be a phishing attempt. 3.????Beware of urgency: Phishers often create a sense of urgency.?Don’t rush; think before you act. 4.????Use two-factor authentication (2FA): Enable 2FA wherever possible to add an extra layer of security. 5.????Stay informed: Cyber threats evolve. Keep learning about new phishing techniques and stay one step ahead. Let's make the internet a safer place together. Great tips, Helen. Phishing attacks can be devastating, so being cautious before clicking on email attachments or links is crucial. Avoiding urgency is critical. Anything that tries to get you out of your 'safe and secure' routine is suspicious. Thanks for sharing this valuable advice!
