It wasn’t that long ago that Yuval Harari was a little known professor. When his extraordinary books started to hit the shelves. ‘sapiens’ ‘nexus’ and so on he became a solid ‘go to’ in leadership circles. I hadn’t seen this clip before, but he describes overwhelm is such a brilliant way - the flood of enormous amounts of information that we face these days - and his approach to clearing the noise of overwhelm. How to build yourself a Map! #thecomma #wiseleadership #depthcoaching #overwhelm https://lnkd.in/eE_Ctq-f

What was the best school you ever attended? What made it the best in your opinion? Vikas Pota poses the question, "There are great schools everywhere. Why aren't there more?" in the creation of his organization, T4 Education's "Best School Prize" had me rethinking the idea of identifying the "best." They use the categories of... ??Community Collaborating ??Empowering Young People ??Environmental Action ??Innovation (not just focused on tech) ??Built Around Healthy Living ? Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience ...to identify and award the prize to schools around the world. I absolutely love these and want to share them with the schools with whom we are partnered. Peter Stiepleman and I also really geeked out about the question he poses, "What are the three things or reasons that people reach out to you?" WOW. This can give you how others' perceive you. This reflection has me hoping that people reach out to me for good things. Take a listen to this episode and then share with me the things for which people reach out to you.
??It was an honor to have?Vikas Pota?as our guest on?An Imperfect Leader: The Superintendents and Leadership Podcast??? ? ??? We had a fantastic conversation about T4 Education, the World's Best School Prize, and the importance of recognizing and celebrating the amazing work happening in schools around the globe.?? ? Here are four key takeaways: ??Shining a Spotlight on Success:?Prizes are a powerful way to recognize the achievements of entire school communities, not just individuals. This recognition can inspire others, attract resources, and drive systemic change. ??The Power of Connection:?Schools that excel prioritize community collaboration and understand the importance of building strong relationships with stakeholders. These connections are essential for success and create a ripple effect that benefits everyone. ??Leading with Values:?Authentic leadership is rooted in integrity, hard work, and a commitment to making a positive impact. By staying true to our values, we build trust, inspire others, and create lasting change. ??Navigating Professional Transitions:?As leaders consider new opportunities (either by choice or due to circumstances out of their control), they aren't always sure how to approach the transition in a meaningful way. Vikas offers an approach he learned from others. https://lnkd.in/gvmTUsaW Mia Ljungberg Nevado #education #WorldBestSchoolPrizes #T4Education #teacherleadership #schoolculture #innovation #communityengagement #imperfectleadership #afteractionreview #systemchange Jamie Almanzán David Franklin, Ed.D.
