It’s hard to imagine the pain she endured, and this incident is a painful reminder of how important it is to prioritize humanity in our workplaces. We often talk about efficiency, productivity, and targets, but at the heart of it all, we are people. Compassion, understanding, and kindness should never be compromised. It’s time to take a step back and ask ourselves: are we truly valuing the human element in our work environments? Let’s not wait for more tragedies like this to shake us awake. #WeekendVIBES ?A little light-hearted fun with an important message. I came across this song as I was doing some 'research scrolling' yesterday, while setting my mindset focus for more writing of my next book about ageism and ageist thinking, entitled: ?? IMPACTFUL - not Invisible. As women, we need to love our bodies more ... more than we berate or complain or hide away our unique bits. We need to celebrate all that our bodies have done for us, are still doing for us as we grow older. We need to embrace those lines and loose bits, those scars and sinewy hands, and get more comfortable in 'FLAUNTING our AGE' (theme of Part 2 in the book). I've learned to love my body. I've never been the 'perfect' Barbie Doll or skinny model shape. I often joke that the only time I was size 10 was when I was age 10! I love my body even more so now as I've seen how it can remarkably respond and recover from health challenges and multiple surgeries this year. I am especially pleased I made some major decisions recently to do all I can to become more healthy, more energetic, and embrace longevity with a more positive, happier attitude ... less acceptance of ailments (body parts that were no longer working well) that I'd been putting up with for years and telling myself: 'just what happens as you age', or ... 'just post-menopause weight gain', or ... 'just blame it on DNA - family traits' (unknown to me until recently - as an adopted 60s baby). I've discovered it's worth getting things checked, persisting with finding the right health-care advice, researching a little deeper into causes, and then prioritising one's health by exploring choices, making changes, and doing all we can to live healthy, longer lives. Let's face it ... with longevity and the average life span for women now nudging 90 (in Australia), focusing on our health and well-being as #1 priority, is the best way to live a long happy, agile, adventurous older phase in life. It starts with loving ourselves, ladies - selfcare for a healthier you. We all deserve that. ?? Singing ... "I love my body" Love creating a sensational, self-loving sixties chapter. ??

Still a little worried about the election? My work might just show you there is nothing to worry about. We put a lot of stock in fear because that’s how we’ve always done it. However, when we worry what we’re really saying is “I don’t think this can work out.” Therefore I’ll ask you to turn the worry back to you. ??Ask yourself what troubles you that you feel you cannot control? Fear is fear is fear. Turning it in on itself gives truth to what instead sets you free. I spent a lifetime around the wrong people and in the wrong places without completely knowing it until I was honest I couldn’t turn my worry off fully. Trust yourself, you know far more about the truth of you than anyone else so why keep listening to outside voices? Follow your own way. Social media has made it possible for everyone to be seen and heard. Wonderful. Exercising (social) influence, however, also comes with taking on #responsibilities. To mention just two: 1. How are our messages moving certain topics forward? 2. How willing and able are we to meet opposition to our opinions/ statements? When we say we want #engagement - we have to be willing and able to back up our opinions and statements - which means we have to have given it thought before we go public.
