They've offered [USD], but I would prefer 2k. What can I reply to negotiate the offer?” —— I replied her with an email template from our Salary Negotiations Masterclass ?????? Why will you want me to provide my current payslip before you make me a job offer? Didn't the company make a provision for compensation for the role before the job interview? Didn't you review my CV and background to know the value I bring to the table? Or because you want to cheat? I think this practice should cease. There is a case before me about a lady who tells me a certain company is asking her to provide her payslip before they make her a job offer. I cringed and told her "Tell them you're unable to provide that. Give no reasons" Salaries are confidential and indeed salaries (compensation ) forms a key part of business strategy, hence you can't just go about disclosing especially in an interview where the outcome is not promised. Granted you want to provide, always mark up 50%. If the company values you well, they will make an offer and go through negotiations to settle on an agreed figure. #salary #compensation

When I interview a candidate for a job, I share the salary range right away. I don't wait until 3rd interview to talk about salary. I will also put it in the job posting. And no, this is not a salary range: $50k-$250k. This is a salary range: $50k-$65k. We need more transparency in the hiring process. Nothing is worse than putting a candidate through several interviews and then making an offer below their expectations. This wastes everyone's time. Let's respect everyone's time. Do you agree? ?? Interview went well and I was shortlisted for the final Offer. But job went to someone else. I kept wondering what went wrong then ???….. In 2013, I had given an interview. Everything went well. I was going to get the best offer of my career. I had almost got selected. Had lot of hope and plans built around the new offer. But few days later, it was devastating to learn that someone else got the Job Offer. I had probably over quoted the “Expected Salary” without knowing the market Standard. Many individuals find themselves in a challenging position when it comes to salary negotiations. Here are some takeaways from my situation I wanted to share: 1. Negotiation is a skill: Like any skill, effective salary negotiation takes practice and knowledge. Strengthen your skills for future negotiations. 2. Research is key: Knowing your worth based on industry standards, Researching typical salary ranges for similar positions in your location equips you with data to back up your desired compensation. 3. Confidence is crucial: Emphasize the value you bring to the company, highlighting your skills and accomplishments. Frame your request based on your research and the value you offer, not personal needs. 4. Be prepared for a counteroffer: It's likely the initial offer won't be your target figure. Be prepared to counteroffer and have flexibility within a reasonable range. 5. Don't be afraid to walk away: If the final offer significantly falls short of your expectations and needs, don't be afraid to walk away, especially if you have other options. Remember, rejections and missed opportunities are inevitable in the job search process. However, focusing on learning and improving your skills, including negotiation, can significantly enhance your chances of securing your desired offers in the future. #dontgiveup #dontquit #mindset #motivation #innovation #sustainability #inspiration #networking

It is critical to hire employees with the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness. Stop confirming availability for interviews and not show up without prior notification. It sends a message about who you are; you are indirectly telling us you are untrustworthy. As a job seeker, check the salary for the job you are applying for; if it is acceptable to you, you can apply. If there is no salary listed in the advertisement, you have room for negotiation. It is critical to read everything about a job before applying. Imagine inquiring about the job location and, in some cases, salary when it is clearly stated on the job advertisement. Today is October 31st, 2024. Dear job seekers, do the right thing and check thoroughly before applying for jobs. #jobseekers #intergrity #trustworthy #interview #notification #availability #salary #location

A STRONG INTERVIEW CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR SALARY OFFER ??I've witnessed many cases where companies offered generous salaries, attractive bonuses, and other incentives to candidates who impressed them in the interview. ??Even when candidates declined the offer, the companies persisted and increased their offer to persuade them to join. ??This is not a rare occurrence, nor is it a coincidence. ??It's the result of a sound job search strategy. ?? Properly preparing and planning for interviews will be the best investment you ever made, since it could lead to a higher base salary! #careercoach #interviewtips #jobhunting #careerchange
