It's a great time to be a PA/NP ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? Per the survey: "50% of organizations utilize incentive pay for at least some of their APPs, with 74% of these organizations structuring incentives as add-on dollars rather than at-risk compensation." The direct cost of APP turnover is $120,000. Retention matters, and keeping productive and experienced PAs/NPs should be a high priority. Over the past few years, we have seen PA/NP compensation become more closely aligned with physician compensation models. Currently, around 75% of physician contracts include productivity-based incentives but the gap between the professions is closing quickly.
