Has anyone else noticed this genius branding trend? When I discovered this, I couldn’t unsee it. The trend? Brands shortening their names. We've seen it with Dunkin', Crumbl, Jamba, and The Salty. All of them have one thing in common – they had their main product offering in their name. And now, they don’t. So why’d they switch it? It is all about the brand positioning and target audience. If everyone knew Dunkin’ Donuts by Dunkin’ why wouldn’t they drop the Donuts?
