In the series of 30 days 30 Buddhist terms today's term is "mahayana" . Mahayana is one of the major branches of Buddhism. The word "Mahayana" means "Great Vehicle." It emphasizes the idea of helping all beings achieve enlightenment, not just oneself. Mahayana Buddhists believe in the Bodhisattva path, where people work to become enlightened but choose to stay in the world to help others do the same. This branch of Buddhism also believes that everyone has the potential to become a Buddha, which is someone who has reached full enlightenment. Mahayana is practiced widely in countries like China, Japan, Korea, and Tibet, and includes various schools like Zen and Pure Land. The teachings often focus on compassion, wisdom, and the interconnectedness of all beings. . #askbhagwanji_ . . . . #buddha #buddhism #upsc #mahayana #tibetanbuddhism #Sikkim #bhopal #delhi #bodhisattva #buddhist #buddhateachings #history #china #japan #taiwan #MindfulLeadership #ConsciousBusiness #BuddhistWisdom #SpiritualGrowth #ZenInTheWorkplace #BuddhistPrinciples #MindfulWorkplace #WisdomAtWork #InnerPeaceAtWork #CorporateMindfulness

Site about Buddhism https://lnkd.in/eB-QWXtd "I believe there's so much more to grasp in the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism, especially the Four Main Bodhisattvas. Each one is a beacon of hope and a guide for those on the path to enlightenment. ?? Let's break it down: 1?? **Guanyin (观音)** - the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion. She embodies mercy and is there to ease the suffering of humanity. 2?? **Wenshu (文殊)** - the Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom. I know we all need a dash of wisdom in our lives, and Wenshu delivers that in spades. 3?? **Dizang (地藏)** - the Bodhisattva of Great Vow. His commitment to saving all sentient beings is inspiring, to say the least. 4?? **Puxian (普贤)** - the Bodhisattva of Great Practice. He encourages us to put our spiritual learning into action. These figures are not just religious icons; they are vital threads in the tapestry of Chinese Buddhist culture, guiding us towards compassion, wisdom, and enlightenment. ?? I understand that exploring their stories is like stepping into a world where spirituality meets profound humanity. Join me as we reflect on their teachings and how they can illuminate our modern lives. #Bodhisattvas #Guanyin #Wenshu #Dizang #Puxian #MahayanaBuddhism #ChineseBuddhism #Spirituality #Enlightenment #AncientChina" ????

The Significance of Ng?ndro in Vajrayana Practice In the Vajrayana tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, the ng?ndro, or preliminary practices, hold a place of profound importance. As stated by the renowned master Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in his book The Excellent Path to Enlightenment, these preliminary practices are essential for preparing the mind for advanced teachings such as Mahamudra, the Great Seal, or Dzogchen, the Great Perfection. To fully appreciate their depth, it is important to understand both what ng?ndro entails and why it forms the foundation of the path to enlightenment. https://lnkd.in/e3kBCAwr #Buddhism #tibetanbuddhism

Mahakumbh 2025: Reconnecting with Roots, Faith, and Purpose As Mahakumbh 2025 approaches, I find myself reflecting on the profound roots of Sanatan Dharma. It’s not just a religion—it’s a way of life that has guided humanity for thousands of years, helping us find harmony, self-awareness, and a deeper connection with the universe. The Mahakumbh is more than a spiritual event. It’s a living symbol of faith, culture, and community, where millions gather at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. What makes it so special is how it brings ancient wisdom into today’s world, reminding us of values that are as relevant now as ever: - Self-discipline - Respect for nature - Serving others - Seeking truth For me, Mahakumbh is a chance to reconnect—with my roots, my purpose, and the timeless principles of Sanatan Dharma. It’s a deeply personal and spiritual experience, one that inspires me to grow and give back. PS: What does Mahakumbh or Sanatan Dharma mean to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts. In the series of 30 days 30 Buddhist terms today's term is "Anatman" or no self . Anatman*l(or Anatta) means "no-self" or "no-soul" in Buddhism. It’s the idea that there is no permanent, unchanging self or essence inside us. Unlike the belief in a soul that exists forever, Buddhism teaches that we are made up of changing parts—like our body, thoughts, and emotions—that constantly shift. So, there's no fixed "me" or "you" that stays the same over time. Understanding anatman helps reduce attachment and suffering because if we realize there's no permanent "self," we can be more flexible and let go of things that cause us pain.. #askbhagwanji_ . . . . #buddha #buddhism #aatma #soul #vajrayana #tantra #ghost #tibetanbuddhism #Sikkim #explore #explorepage #reelsinstagram #reels #reelitfeelit #fyp #reelkarofeelkaro #bhopal #instagram #instagood #delhi #buddhism #buddhist #buddhateachings #mantra #history #upsc #nepal #bhutan #BuddhismInBusiness #MindfulLeadership #BuddhistWisdom #BuddhismForSuccess #MindfulnessAtWork #BuddhistTeachings #SpiritualLeadership

When understood and practiced right, the ancient principle of Ahimsa (non-injury) offers a path to ?????????????? ?????????? ?????????? and ????????-??????????. Our general understanding of Ahimsa is that one should avoid physical harm, harsh speech and thinking negatively of ourselves & others. But what if we could deepen our understanding of Ahimsa? Dharma is the only filter through which Ahimsa needs to pass, else it would be an academic understanding of Ahimsa would create havoc and chaos within, and in the family / society. The extent to which one needs to adopt non-violent action, word and thought even in conflict situations would become crystal clear once the right understanding of Ahimsa dawns. Recall how Arjuna excelled in the conflict situation once his understanding of Dharma was set right by Shri Krishna. Thus, Dharma based Ahimsa alone leads to understanding, healing and peace, within and with the outside World. This gives the strength to go through the conflict to re-establish peace. What is your understanding of Ahimsa? In case you wish to explore such concepts then you could join our weekly Shrimath Bhagawad Gita sessions, every Saturday 8 to 9pm IST. #YogaNidra #Ahimsa #IndicWisdom #ShrimathYoga #Gita
