Think about it this way. Yes, raw videos attract higher quality leads. But if you do not leverage on short-form, it will be harder for those high quality leads to find you in the first place. You need short form to ATTRACT the masses but RETAIN your high-quality customer who's going to then check out your longer, raw content. Example: imagine a high quality lead who's interested in your self-help podcast. They probably don't want to watch your short videos. "I have a lot of long-form content, but how can I turn it into social media posts?" Here’s the exact process I use for my clients: 1. Start with the podcast episode:? I send it to my teammate, who watches the entire episode and picks out the best moments. 2. Review and select: He sends me the timestamps, and I review them to choose the most impactful clips. 3. Create a draft video: We trim the selected part, remove pauses, and cut unnecessary words to create what I call an "outline." 4. Client review: In the first few weeks, we send the draft to the client for feedback. Once we're aligned, we skip this step and go straight to editing. 5. Edit and finalize: ??- Short reels: We create a 30-60 second reel. Shorter is better for engagement. ???- Pro tip: On LinkedIn and TikTok, we keep the video raw with minimal editing since these platforms favor authenticity. ??- Medium-length videos: We create 3-5 minute videos for YouTube to promote the podcast. This length is ideal for YouTube, where viewers expect longer content. ??- Carousels: We also design carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn. These perform well on both platforms and add variety to your content. I make sure that we utilize the podcast to its fullest.
