How old is your physician? Do you request doctors over 50? It's worth considering the impact this mindset has on the next generation of medical professionals. Upcoming doctors need opportunities to gain the experience necessary to serve at a high level of excellence. Yes, some may be careless, but this isn't exclusive to the medical field. Just because they aren’t yet seasoned experts doesn’t mean they don't know what they’re doing. These young doctors have undergone rigorous training and are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide excellent care. Next time you’re at a health facility, consider focusing on competence, not age. It’s important to recognize that sometimes people’s biases are influenced more by age than by actual ability. Let’s give younger professionals a chance; it might be the opportunity they need to unlock their full potential. Remember, experience is built over time, but competence and dedication are present from the start. By offering these upcoming doctors a chance, we’re not just supporting their growth—we’re also ensuring a future of excellent healthcare. Let’s focus on fostering talent and allowing space for growth in our healthcare system.

Welcome to Week 41 of 52 Weeks of WOW: Word of the Week Wednesdays Word of the Week: MEDICAL CERTIFICATION Medical Certification: A credential awarded to healthcare professionals upon successful completion of specific educational and training requirements, validating their expertise and proficiency in a particular medical specialty or area of practice. Why is this important? Medical certification serves as a hallmark of professional competence, ensuring that healthcare professionals possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and qualifications to deliver high-quality care to patients. What does the planner need to do? Offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities and certification programs accredited by relevant medical organizations, and collaborate with certification boards to ensure alignment with industry standards and requirements. How can planners apply it? By providing opportunities for medical certification and CME credits at conferences, planners can attract healthcare professionals seeking to maintain and advance their professional credentials, thereby enhancing the conference's value proposition and attendee engagement. Be mindful that CMEs may not be appropriate or allowed at all events. Key takeaway: Medical certification is essential for healthcare professionals to demonstrate their commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in patient care. By offering certified educational activities, conferences play a vital role in supporting the professional development and competency of healthcare professionals. #52WeeksofWOW #MEDiC #MEDiCseries #pharma #biotech #medicalmeetings #mmp #eventsindustry #meetingsandevents #eventprofs #medcomms #medicalcommunications #certification

Some things I have learned thus far while fostering meaningful clinical relationships in medical settings (though I’m sure this applies to nearly every workforce): ??1. Concrete understanding of a clinic’s operational & quality standards should be a priority. Of course, knowing the characteristics of your product is a must, but are you able to competently hold a conversation about operational metric impact on clinical goals? If you’re not asking about common etiology, patholhysioligic challenges, defining MDH, outliers, etc, then you aren’t going to come off as genuine in your attainment of displaying genuine care. If you have a background in clinical settings, let the provider know. A lot of credibility is built on merit, whether that be experience or education- highlight it! ??2. Know the clinical flow! Any work place environment has a flow, which includes: communication dynamic, schedule, etc. Optimizing time is extremely important, always, but the way in which you do so is entirely based on the effectiveness of how you mesh with a clinic’s professionals. Some of the obvious ways to go about optimizing a clinics time? Don’t keep them waiting- respond & schedule promptly. Ask them: When would meeting work for you? Tell them you priotize convenience in their schedule. Do not expect a return of favor- as in, just because you get someone lunch does NOT mean you are owed 10 minutes of time. Be patient- physicians cancel, patients cancel, we all cancel. Do not get discouraged if someone backs out. And if you have a wound...Let us know: https://www.rxwound.com/
