Global hiring challenges in diversity and generational differences. Can Global businesses overcome this? It's not enough to hire diverse candidates; creating an inclusive environment is crucial to retaining people. Diversity & Inclusion starts with a clear strategy, but I think global businesses are failing at executing this. From a hiring perspective, it doesn’t just include mapping demographics, like age, race, gender. I’m talking about starting with your first point of contact with the world. Writing inclusive job descriptions, expanding your job posting reach, and ensuring diverse interview panels are a good place to start. Managing a multigenerational workforce requires a good understanding. I’m not sure if Global businesses are trying to understand each generation. Across the world right now there seems to be a focus on the negatives of each generation. Surely it's now time to leverage the strengths of each generation. I think it comes down to a more tailored development approach, not a one size fits all. Reverse mentorship, and flexible policies can help bridge gaps. Addressing these challenges with tailored strategies will help to attract and retain top talent for the medium to long term.?
