LBE VR evolution It's interesting to see how location-based VR entertainment filed has changed over the past 5 years. 5 years ago "arena" formats were very expensive, complex and commercially ineffective very often. And the best way to make money in this field was to buy 2-4 PC (tethered) VR headsets and rent several square meters in a shopping mall. But with the development of standalone VR headsets like oculus quest and its analogues, the arena format became much cheaper and comfortable. For now the fastest growing LBE VR companies are arenas, based on Meta Quest or Pico. The next step I guess is AR arenas, with mixed real and digital environments. Maybe in 3-4 years, after one or two generations of devices. What do you think?

Pimax Unveils Crystal Super VR Headset at CES 2025 Recently, Pimax announced its latest VR headset, the "Crystal Super," during CES 2025 in Las Vegas. Touted as the world’s first retina-level VR headset, it is available in multiple versions with screen resolutions of 3840 × 3840 per eye. Additionally, it offers a wide horizontal field of view (FOV) of 120 degrees. The most outstanding feature of this headset is its interchangeable optical engines, allowing users to easily swap out entire panels and lenses as needed. This is claimed to be the first modular optical system in the world. The headset is available in three versions: QLED 57PPD, QLED 50PPD, and micro-OLED. It also comes with two controllers included. Unfortunately, the headset supports only PCVR and is not a standalone device. Therefore, you need to ensure your PC is compatible with the headset to enjoy its stunning image quality.
