The Gemini Call spotlights pioneering efforts in digital twin technology. When tomorrow is nothing like yesterday, leaders from diverse sectors seek new ways and tools for intelligence and engagement. On July 9, 2024, RWI Synthetics’ CEO Myrna Bittner presented “Synthetic Twins: Combining People, Place and Scenario-Based Intelligence for Use by Diverse Leadership in Regional Advanced Labs” at the Gemini Call (https://lnkd.in/deZjg2T). In her presentation, Myrna Bittner shared a practical example from start to present of the generation and use of a Regional Advanced Lab (REAL) Initiative that has brought together a group of 14 connected, collaborative and competitive municipalities and community leaders in a Canadian RWI Synthetic Twin first. RWI’s Synthetic Twin provides a practical augmented hyperlocalized futures sandbox for exploring and sharing choices and investment outcomes in an interconnected sim-city environment that includes synthetic people, the natural and built environment, policy, technology, events and infrastructure. Use cases to date include growth and urban planning, energy transition investment, phasing and workforce, health, sense of belonging, transportation and mobility, post-secondary growth, affordable housing, and scenarios of natural and human-made disasters, including acute and chronic climate change.
