Here’s a big copywriting myth: Using the word “you” makes readers more engaged. You attracts attention. But it doesn’t make readers engaged. Unless it’s also tied to something that interests them. “Protect your family.” "Your" attracts attention. "Family" keeps readers with a family engaged. You attracts attention. Interest reaches out and maintains the attention of a specific audience. If there’s no personal interest, readers turn away. You did its job.
