Thrilled to have secured 3rd place at the National Level Hackathon, Hackademia NECN 2K24, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Narayan Engineering College, Nellore! ?? **IMPORTANT THINGS I HAVE LEARNT** This 24-hour Hackathon was intense, pushing me beyond my comfort zone in unexpected ways. Competing without my usual team and diving into a complex project under relentless time constraints tested both my technical and mental endurance. Also this was my first inter-college hackathon, me as a team leader. 1?? Adapting on the fly : Joining a new team at the last minute was a steep learning curve, but it underscored the importance of flexibility and collaboration. 2?? Sharpening project focus: The jury's valuable feedback provided fresh insights on refining my project for real-world applications. 3?? Public speaking challenges: Presenting my project to over 70 people was a hurdle. Nerves got the better of me, and I struggled to convey the core use case clearly to the final evaluators. 4?? Hardware and pressure: Demonstrating a Python-driven hardware project with limited time was daunting, and I fumbled under the weight of expectations. Despite these challenges, securing 3rd place was a humbling recognition of my efforts. The experience highlighted areas I need to improve, particularly in delivering concise and confident presentations under pressure. I’m incredibly grateful to the evaluators who saw potential in my work and to our college, which played a crucial role in allowing me to participate in this hackathon. This experience has equipped me with lessons I’ll carry into future competitions. Kalasalingam University- Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Huge thanks to the organizers, jury, and fellow participants for an unforgettable experience! #Hackademia #hackathon #learninglessons
