Climate change is no longer a distant threat; it is a present reality, manifesting with devastating force in the record-breaking development of Hurricane Beryl in July 2024. This unprecedented storm is a stark reminder that our warming planet fuels more intense and frequent hurricanes, putting countless lives and communities at risk. We must act now, with urgency and determination, to mitigate these impacts and protect our future."#climate action #sids

?? How the Warming Gulf Stream is Creating a Hot Zone for Hurricanes ?? As the Gulf Stream continues to warm and shift closer to the U.S. coastline, it’s becoming a significant driver behind the increasing intensity and frequency of hurricanes like Hurricane Helene. With ocean temperatures rising, we’re seeing storms grow stronger and more destructive, impacting coastal communities along the East Coast. This isn’t about politics—it’s about interpreting the current data and understanding the shifting patterns of our oceans. How will these changes shape future hurricane seasons, and what does it mean for those living in vulnerable areas? #MarineConservation #ClimateChange #Hurricanes #OceanCurrents #EnvironmentalScience #Sustainability #CoastalResilience

Is Climate Change Overhyped? Climate change is more than just a term we hear often—it’s happening right now. Our world is giving us clear signs, from unusually strong hurricanes to snow where we least expect it. The ocean’s temperature is a major factor in all of this. In Florida’s Keys last year, water temperatures soared over 100 degrees, fueling hurricane strength. It’s not just the cost of solutions, but the price we’ll pay for inaction. Now’s the time to be proactive and confront the reality of our changing climate. Share this video if you believe in the reality of climate change and want to spread awareness! #ClimateChange #GlobalWarming #HurricaneImpact

Hoping everyone in FL stays safe during #HurricaneMilton. Storms like this are stark reminders of what we have to lose when politics is put before people. Hurricanes and other natural disasters, like floods and wildfires, have certainly happened before climate change, but there is simply no doubt that climate change has made these disasters much, much worse. We owe it to ourselves to follow the science and prepare for these disasters before they happen. That involves focusing on risk mitigation and strengthening our communities to reduce the harm caused by natural disasters. It also means continuing working to reduce the impacts of climate change.
