We are very much looking forward to giving a presentation on ESG and Compliance in a M&A context at the annual two-day conference, “Advokatenes fagdager”, organized by Advokatforeningen (the Norwegian Bar Association) and JUS - Juristenes Utdanningssenter (the Center for Continuing Legal Education). Addressing ESG in a transactional context involves a multi-faceted approach where lawyers can play a pivotal role. M&A is a central part of Schj?dt's practice throughout our Scandinavian and UK platform, and ESG/Compliance is a high-priority legal practice area for our firm. We will share practical tips and methodologies on how to integrate ESG considerations and risk assessments into due diligence processes, as well as providing strategies to mitigate identified risks through structuring of the deal, negotiating the contractual framework and post-closing implementation.
