Trying to hold a record label liable for defamation over lyrics in a diss track seems somewhat ambitious. But I do think Drake's lawsuit against Universal Music raises some interesting questions about the industry commercialising rap beefs in an era when social media fuelled conspiracy theories can occasionally prompt acts of violence.
