Three Bone Theatre is Charlotte’s home for the best of adult contemporary theatre. Their mission is to use great theatre as a catalyst for conversation and change in our community. They are kicking off Season 13 this month with the 2024 Tony Nominee for Best New Play: Jaja’s African Hair Braiding written by Jocelyn Bioh. Opening November 8th and running through the 24th, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding in Harlem is a salon full of funny, whip-smart, talented women ready to make you look and feel “nice nice.” Interested in attending? The Associated Press will create a sister organization to fundraise for and support state and local journalism. Read more at https://lnkd.in/eBC4vtFa Governed by an independent board of directors, the 501(c)3 charitable organization will help AP sustain, augment and grow journalism and services for the industry, as well as help fund other entities that share a commitment to state and local news. “The crisis in local news is only exacerbating. It’s AP’s role as the cooperative at the heart of the news ecosystem to both reinforce our own state and local reporting as well as support other organizations who share our commitment to local journalism,” said AP President and CEO Daisy Veerasingham. “State and local news is essential, both to the democratic process and to combatting misinformation. Simply put, it’s a public good.”
