For 25 years Minerva has worked to advance economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls in BC. Ensuring women are getting the critical skills, experiences, and feedback they need to progress is core to any gender equity strategy. Women generally get less training, and more personal – and less actionable – feedback than men. Investing in women’s education and leadership development positively impacts communities at a local, national, and global level. How does your organization support and develop women leaders? Do you have plans to develop your leadership skills this year? ?? https://lnkd.in/gKpuYgQi

Research shows the diversity gap in academy trust leadership remains static, with Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) leaders underrepresented. Although women now hold 35% of top positions in trusts with 15 or more schools, just one non-white leader is among the 50 largest trusts. Experts are calling for greater diversity across all levels to ensure leadership teams reflect the communities they serve. At iCan Teach UK, we are dedicated to improving diversity in education by recruiting teachers from varied backgrounds who reflect the communities they serve. A more inclusive education system starts with diverse staffing at every level.
