I agree with you that there is a strong parallel between the performing arts and cybersecurity, especially in terms of the need for regular practice and preparation. The financial comparison also touches on the psychological aspect of our field, where we spend money on things that give us pleasure and value; cybersecurity is rigorous and not pleasurable for many. I had a similar conversation recently about the need to conduct more tabletop exercises for the simple concept of practice, practice, practice. We all know that the first time we try something, we won't be very good at it, so the more at-bats we get, the better we become. On paper, it may look good, but you have to execute, fail, and start improving. This is especially important in cybersecurity, where we deal with high-risk, high-pressure situations, and where team members and stakeholders may change frequently. I wonder why many organizations still don't conduct tabletop exercises as often as they should, and how we can change that. Do you have any suggestions or best practices to share?
