December 8 - A Look Back at the Year As a group, we will add up our gains and our losses, lessons learned, and work, as a group, on the most positive reframe we can come up with for the year that will soon be passing! December 15 - Self-care? What did you do in 2024 for self-care and what would you like to try in 2025? December 22 - Celebrate the Solstice Get in tune—and get in time—with Nature’s progression. Before society and religion commandeered them, Nature had natural, physically tangible moments that marked the changing of the seasons. And while we are not suggesting a celebration at the exact moment of the Solstice, because, it is, after all, at 2:19 a.m. MST, on December 21, we are thinking that a celebration of the real season, of the shift of the planet to a position that leads to longer days and shorter nights, is in order. Why we're already thinking about what's happening in 2025 It's September, we've still got to get Advent Calendars out, then there's Christmas, but we're already thinking about next year (and a little bit about 2026). Why? Because firstly, each year's advent calendar is a long process which goes through 3 phases of testing, which all takes time. Then there's all the other things that we want to fit into the year as well. Next year will see us trying a couple of new and different things as well as some favourites like the advent calendar (watch out for some clues...) We know up front, right now, what we want to achieve and we can start planning it. That means that when we come back from our Christmas/New Year holiday, we can get going straight away, without having to plan anything, because we already know what needs to be done. Of all the months, December is my favourite month of the year. Yes, I was born in December and it can lead to uncanny affinity. But December month is the beginning of an end and also harbinger of hope that good or bad that year was, it has gone by and we can start afresh, with new hopes and aspirations. So............................. De - celerate --- your fast paced life. Slow down a little, enjoy small moments, achievements of life. De- clutter------- your life. Fix a schedule, stick to it, clear your office table, your house cupboard and most important your mental space. De- toxify------- your relationship, Be humble you are being loved, Admire that you are not alone and somebody is there for you. De -lete----- negative emotions. Be thankful that you have lived to see another day, able to make new beginnings, are hale and hearty. De- tach------ from emotional trauma. Stay away from negative, exploitative people, organisations, events. Engage only with people, news which bring positive vibes . And De- finitely---- the coming year would be a rollicking year for you. Everyday, Every year is a chance to start afresh. Let it steam ?? ??Let it rain Water comes in many forms - which to the innocent eye appear to be entirely different entities. ‘Formless’ clouds, flowing rivers and solid snow are part of cycle that repeats eternally and delights or disappoints - depending on the opinion of the viewer. Thought is like this. At times our thoughts appear to be as solid as an iceberg and at other times they seem as insubstantial as a wisp of cloud in a clear blue sky. So it’s helpful to remember that no matter how solid our thought may appear to us, just as icebergs melt, evaporate and return to the sky, so too with thoughts. Seemingly persistent they melt away and return whence they came. So ??Let it snow? Let it snow ?? ??Let it snow

Merry Christmas and have a wonderful break. After flying into Christmas festivities with gusto or organic momentum, or both...how good are the few days that follow? Between Christmas and New Year, hopefully, for many, there is a lot less pressure and a lot more time - time to ponder and conjure. The New Year is traditionally a time for goal setting, but I love these few days in between to ponder HOW. How can we bring these goals to life? How can we find a different way to make it happen? HOW can we solve that niggling problem? This is the very basis of building resilience - something we all need in spades when starting and growing our own business. Is it one of our niggling problems or one of our customers' pain points? Here's to pondering HOW over the HOLIDAYS. I very much look forward to connecting with you in the New Year. This photograph is of one of our family solutions for the summer. Pictured are my two sons, Darcy and Monty with their dogs, Racer and Chocky Rock. Our challenge has been getting our dogs through summer....alive. We've had the biggest season of snakes that we've ever encountered. Every time we go for a walk, we either spot a Red-bellied black snake or an Eastern Brown Snake. Both are lethal - the first slow working and can be undetected until too late. The latter, fast and our hour long trip into our incredible vets can also be too late. So, the dogs are tied up all day, on the verandah, where we can hear them and check on them. We take them for a long walk on the lead at least a couple of times a day, so that we can pull them back if a snake appears in front of us. And we take them for a swim in our creek or dam - refreshing for all of us on these hot days. Another solution for getting through the heat.
