Wizards of the Coast, on Twitter I asked whomever is running your account there why I would spend $180 on your game.
Here are the reasons I asked that question.
Remember The OGL where your company tried to hamstring an entire industry, causing many to revise books already in circulation? That's a huge reason Numero Uno.
Also, there is the fact that you violated trust with many from that action. So much so that others decided to attempt making their own open gaming license. Yikes.
Then there was the removal of half-races because you said they were racist. This comes after making a colossal deal about people "seeing themselves" in the game. So those born with black and asian, asian and hispanic, black and white parents, etc. now no longer deserve to see themselves in the game? Seriously? That's the hill you're willing to ...nevermind.
Speaking of races, I'd be remiss in my duties if I didn't bring up your false claims that the game is reverse compatible but you literally just made every character type the same. So essentially, after all the bioessentialist arguments which were complete stupidity, you decided to negate the differences between races and classes that actually promote teamwork in the game. Good Grief...
Let's not forget you fired your creative staff two weeks before Christmas.
Now, let's just put all of that on the back burner for a moment. Let's talk value. You want me...to part with $180 for all three books and eBooks...okay but you have a problem. I'm looking at all the stuff on the back burner and the fact that I can't access those eBooks unless I am logged into D&D Beyond. Okay, first of all, no. We know that you can and do "update" books without consent or permission or even without our knowledge like you did with the Kender in Dragonlance: Shadow of The Dragon Queen.
No, unacceptable.
Meanwhile Troll Lord Games offers the same deal. $180 for all three books plus eBooks but here's the part that might not rub you the right way. That bundle also comes with a GM screen, A starting adventure and character sheets as seen here...

I also get to own the PDFs. They send PDFs independent of any proprietary VTT. If they update them, they tell us what those updates are and exactly what changed and then I can choose to update them or say, "Nah, fam, I'm good."
When Goodman Games did an update to "correct typos" and "use gender neutral pronouns" I passed on that update. I own that file. I own that book. I get to just deal with the typos. The same typos that exist in the physical book.
Likewise Jason Vey and Elf Lair Games produce Three games, count 'em, three for the exact same price as what you're charging. I get a Fantasy game that truly does something different, a dark urban/horror/contemporary fantasy game and a sci-fi game, plus eBooks that I own all for the same price.
