Happy Friday, everyone! At Brand Atlanta, we believe that ending the week on a high note is just as important as starting it right. Here’s how we ensure we finish the week strong: 1. Reflect on Achievements We take time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished each week. Celebrating our wins, big or small, helps us recognize our progress and stay motivated. 2. Tie Up Loose Ends Our team focuses on wrapping up outstanding tasks and projects. Completing these before the weekend helps us start the next week with a clean slate. 3. Plan for Next Week We set clear goals and priorities for the coming week. Having a plan in place reduces stress and gives us a head start on Monday. 4. The Secret Weapon You're Ignoring: How Celebrating Wins Supercharges Your Team In our busy work lives, we're constantly chasing the next deadline or tackling the next challenge. It's easy to forget to stop and take a breath, let alone celebrate the wins we achieve along the way. But celebrating wins, big or small, is essential for our well-being and ignites a fire within our teams. Here’s why celebrating can be good for your team - Celebrating wins together reminds us that we're all on the same team, working towards a common goal. Appreciating each other's efforts creates a happier and more positive work environment for everyone. Celebrating successes shows that hard work pays off which inspires us to keep pushing ourselves. So just like team meetings, set aside some time to recognize everyone's efforts too. When we celebrate wins together, it's like a magic trick! It creates a positive and motivated team that works better together. Remember, celebrating is about showing your team you care about investing in their well-being. When we lift each other up, everyone wins!

Fun Fridays: Mixing Work with Fun! Today our team took a break from regular work to have some fun together, and it was awesome! One activity we did was a challenge where we had to write a word on the board using a pen tied to six small ropes. Sounds easy, right? But let me tell you, it was quite tricky! It needed careful planning, teamwork, and thinking in new ways. Among the team some were super strategic, others had really creative ideas. Everyone played a part, and it showed how working together makes a big difference. As we laughed and cheered each other on, it reminded me that these fun times are just as important as our serious work. They give us energy, bring us closer, and make us better at what we do. To all the HR folks out there, never underestimate the impact of initiatives like Fun Fridays. They're not just about having a good time, they're about making our teamwork better and keeping everyone happy at work. Thank you Benyamol Eldhose for outstanding coordination throughout the activity. Let's keep working hard, playing hard, and making great memories together! ?#TeamWork #FunAtWork #MakingADifference

Celebrate the small things. Every Wednesday when I have office hours on our main campus, I buy a cup of coffee ? at the on-campus bistro and then make my way around to say “good morning” to anyone I am able to bump in to (I refer to this as “going on tour” ??). Our bistro offers a coffee loyalty card that, after purchasing five cups of coffee, grants your sixth cup free of charge. After five Wednesdays of purchasing a coffee, today was my lucky day, my “free cup of coffee” day. And I’ll be honest with you, that free cup of coffee made my day because, let’s face it, I worked for it (well, I paid for it for the past five weeks, but go along with me here) and hit my goal! Because of that small success, I had a spring in my step all morning and, honestly, noticed many other things – sights, sounds and people – that brought a smile to my face but that I hadn’t noticed on the five previous Wednesdays. My point? It is important that we celebrate the small things. These celebrations can change our perspective in the most positive way. Sure, it sounds like I am talking only about a free cup of coffee, but I am really speaking of something much grander. If that free sixth cup of coffee puts a spark into my step, I’d better also be celebrating those small things at work that took real effort – finishing a presentation that I have been working on for the past two weeks, leading a good team retreat after a month of planning, or issuing the latest issue of our department newsletter that has been being worked on since the previous issue. Sure, we are always going to want to celebrate the big things. But those celebrations come much easier. It is important that we celebrate the mile markers along the journey because those are the small things that give us the fuel to go the distance on the big things. Here’s to celebrating! #mindset #goals #celebrate

(Note: This is a reprint of something I posted a few years go.?Funny.?The more things change, the more they stay the same!) Because of the Independence Day holiday, this week will be a short work week. And while many people are looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July, I am celebrating TODAY—July 1st. Why? Because July 1st marks the first day of the “second half” of the year. For many of us, on January 1st we made plans, set goals and “resolved” to do things better and differently.?So here we are, six months later. Are you where you had planned to be? Have you achieved the goals you set? Have you kept those ever-elusive resolutions? I am not throwing any shade, because if I am perfectly honest—and I am going to be—I have fallen short of where I thought I would be six months into this year. But here is the good news: Just like half-time in a basketball game, if you focus on what did (and did not) work during the first half of the year, you can emerge from the “locker room” with a renewed commitment and focused concentration that will allow you to “win” during the next two quarters. I don’t know about you, but I am so excited about the next half!?So much so that I dug my high school cheerleader uniform out of the closet.?Although it doesn’t fit anymore (Don’t judge me!), it is a reminder that when we “Stand up and cheer”—for ourselves and others—that enthusiasm can go a long way in helping us to reach our goals. I am cheering for YOU! #GoForYourGoals #GetReadyForTheSecondHalf P.S.?Can you do me a favor? Please share with me ONE THING you (or your organization)—put on your priority list at the beginning of the year…and you are still working on it. ?DM your response and let me know.?I am curating a list of “common” personal/professional challenges to help me tailor future content and offer relevant solutions to my clients.?Thank you in advance!
