A slight change to a color makes all the difference for a brand. For a new client in the mental health industry, our color conversation was focused on saturation. Saturation is how intense a color is. You've probably seen a lot of saturated blue on the web—it's the default action or link color (even right here on LinkedIn). You've probably also seen a lot of blue in healthcare. So, would saturated blues be calming for the user? Or might they feel cold and blend in with typical digital health visuals? Would a desaturated green be more unexpected and have the desired calming effect? Which colors do you prefer—the left or right side?

Here's the biggest well kept sales secret. You can sell anything to anyone, if only you can connect with them on a deeper level. We all sell everyday. Babies sell to their parents with their tears. Adults sell to each other with aggressive or assertive talks. But if you want to sell more than everyone else, you need to tell stories. Relatable stories that the one you are selling to can resonate with and maybe see themselves in. An example is Sarah's Day, a wellness coach for mom using almost every one of her posts to; 1. Show her audience (moms) how she's coping 2. Show moms how she's taking care of her family without ignoring her wellness 3. Show her journey, struggles and challenges. 4. Make her audience go; "oh, that's me", "If she can, I can too" And this helps connect with her audience on a deeper level Which did not only get her hundreds of thousands of views and engagement, but also help her build a community and sell more.

?? ???????? ?? ????????: ????’?? ???? ?? ???????? ?? Our lives are so hectic it may be hard sometimes to decompress. When we do get to relax, all too often it’s easier, even comforting, to get in a few rounds of Candy Crush or peruse social media. But there is one activity that will allow us to decompress as well as edify us, increase our imagination, and boost our empathy: reading. ?? Reading has many benefits. It enables us to imagine a more adventurous circumstance without having to go through it ourselves. It can increase our vocabulary and strengthen nerve connections in the brain. It fires our imagination, helping to make connections at work that might not be obvious. Finally, it increases our stores of empathy, which is an invaluable trait for a health care practitioner to have and which can increase patient satisfaction and improve outcomes (not that everything has to be about work). ?? Right now I’m reading ???????? ??????????????, the new novel by Bobby Finger. It’s a funny look about needing community at any age. What are you currently reading? Has a novel ever impacted your practice? Comment below! ?? —----------------------------------- Like this post? Want to see more? ?? Ring it on my Profile Follow #ProvidersEdge ?? Here's how I revived a dead email list with education, not discounts: A mental health app brand came to me with an email list that hadn’t been touched in over a year. Open rates were under 10%, and subscription sales? Nonexistent. Instead of blasting discounts, I started sending emails that taught subscribers how to get the most out of their product. I showed people what the clinical studies showed and how they can use the product to get the real-life results they came for. After 3 weeks? Open rates jumped to 25%, and sales followed. Teach your customers first, sell second.

Something has been on my mind since attending a fantastic panel discussion (Wed, 7/17) — the state of “the agency” and mental health. Let's look at an alternative definition of the word "agency". Sure, agency is often defined as "a business or organization established to provide a particular service, typically one that involves organizing transactions between two other parties." But, "agency" is also by defined as "the sense of control that you feel in your life, your capacity to influence your own thoughts and behavior, and have faith in your ability to handle a wide range of tasks and situations." If looking at this last definition, does it feel ironic? Amy Small and the Health Action Alliance have conducted some research and it shows that all is not right here. Agencies seem to be lacking in the department of "agency" (according to this alternate definition). I know there are some good examples out there. Let’s celebrate those healthy and mutually-valuable AGENCY stories. Let’s hear about ‘em. #advertising #marketing #agency #mentalhealth
