Just wrapped up the Foundations of Entrepreneurship course at NSRCEL - IIM-B! ?? Back in my early career days, I was all about delivering the best. Sounds great, right? But here’s the catch—I wasn’t spending time learning or keeping up with changing trends. And honestly? It stunted my growth. Fast forward to now, I’ve flipped the script. I make a conscious effort to connect with people, soak in their experiences, and upskill in areas I overlooked (even after 7 years as an entrepreneur!). This course? It was a game-changer. Some parts were a good refresher, but I also picked up new insights on what I could’ve done differently. If you’re just starting out or even developing an idea, this program helps you really test it. By the end, you’ve got a solid pitch deck and a clear direction. Loved how practical it was. Plus, it reminded me of my motto: "TRY and FAIL, but FAIL FASTER." ?? Youngovator earned recognition when it was selected as one of the top 50 ventures from over 16,000 across India in the Tata Social Enterprises Challenge and IIM Kolkata. In Madhya Pradesh, only 2 companies were selected, and Youngovator was one of them. This shows that with hands-on learning, students can not only get jobs, but students can become an entrepreneur. The third boot camp was recently held on the 16th and 17th of October at Parul University, Vadodara, in the Faculty of Management Studies department, focusing on “Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurial journey.” First-year MBA students were introduced to the concept of entrepreneurship and encouraged to explore the possibility of becoming job creators rather than job seekers. The session aimed to inspire students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path, guiding them through the various stages of the entrepreneurial journey. If we reflect on the outcomes of all three boot camps, around 70-72 startup ideas were presented by the students. Among these, at least 18 to 20 ideas show strong potential and deserve our close attention to help bring them to the next level. Although Boot Camps 1, 2, and 3 were conducted in nearly the same manner, the experiences and learning outcomes from each were quite distinct. This is an encouraging sign, and by reflecting on the combined impact of all three boot camps, we can chart a more refined and effective path for the next activities. These insights will help us enhance our approach and ensure that future sessions continue to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in our students.
