What if Live Nation Entertainment and Ticketmaster became a record label and they signed a ring of small talent and then paid a subscription fee for a year to attend live shows and put the artists as open acts for the bigger shows & each 3 months they had to buy song / merchandise bundles for the artists they subscribed for and then Livenation created a mini RIAA radio frequency network / mainstream distribution where it was like bbc radio but you jam the songs you’ll hear at the shows and then this completely tells the DOJ BYE ??? then they will have a solving to the problem. As a record label contract since they’ll produce 360° degree protection and with ancillary rights, then they’ll be no argument to hold them accountable for. & if every artist gets a distribution contract with $15k advance in Spotify streams, they’ll be as big as the artists the companies that sue them about this will replace them as a new marketing platform and marketplace to hear talent This is my own idea. If you do this then I get 20% gross percent of the venture profit and income in perpetuity by law for 15 years

An inspiring day at the The Glasshouse International Centre for Music hearing from voices across the creative and cultural sectors. So important that the creative industries are recognised as a key pillar of the industrial strategy. So many key takeaways from today - but perhaps most immediately useful is the call to understand investment in the infrastructure of culture as a key enabler of growth and innovation, in the same way as we need to invest in transport infrastructure or health infrastructure to enable sustainable development. Universities, of course, are a constituent part of our cultural infrastructure, as are museums (as Hannah Fox of the The Bowes Museum) pointed out today, as are libraries, community centres, heritage buildings, and so many other institutions designed to facilitate and develop cultural activities, initiatives and capacity. This is clearly understood by Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and UKRI. Great to see the news today of investment in two key projects that will contribute greatly to the NorthEast’s culture infrastructure - the National Centre for Writing, led by Claire Malcolm of New Writing North, and Glassworks Sunderland, led by Nick Malyan of Sunderland Culture. #culturecrestivityheritage
