LONG POST ALERT!?? Last August, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Women in Nature Network global summit in Nairobi, Kenya (in the first photo????), along with two colleagues from Tanzania Zulfa Uledi and Floriana Rutahindurwa. The summit, hosted by Women in Nature Network Kenya Chapter ( WiNN) was truly inspiring, bringing together women from various parts of the world who are making significant contributions to nature conservation. It was a safe space for learning, unlearning, and forging collaborations. During the summit, I discovered that there are over 10 active WiNN chapters in various countries in Africa and beyond, but none in Tanzania. Inspired by this, my colleagues and I were determined to establish a WiNN chapter in Tanzania. . It brings me immense joy to see our efforts comes to fruition. Anna Mahulu has been a constant source of inspiration and leadership as we built Women in Nature Network Tanzania and as we prepared for our first ever event, a tree planting activity held yesterday in colaboration with Jane Goodall Institute Tanzania Tanzania Forest Service Agency/ Wakala wa Huduma za Misitu (TFS) . WiNN Tanzania now boasts a network of 35 members (amazing women??) who are at the forefront of championing the role of women as environmental stewards, and our network continues to expand. We extend a warm welcome to collaborators and supporters who share our vision of making a lasting impact in environmental conservation and creating a safe space for women conservation???? #womeninstem #natureconservation #resilience #cumminutysustainability #womenwholeads

6 个月Keep winning together guys. Put your motherly voices out there and no voice like a mother's, you will be heard.! Remember the aim is to help mother nature out, don't lose that focus ?? ??. Just like they claim the #Future to be, #TheNatureIsFemale too ?? ??. It makes more sense to see #women protect the #future of #MotherNature. Kudos ?? ?? for the good work you putting in Catherine Fridolin , Zulfa Uledi and Floriana Rutahindurwa. Let there be more successful stories about how you played your part in creating awareness and positive changes about nature.
