This past weekend marked the completion of Women In Media UCSB's 8th Annual Spring Conference. Having produced three of these conferences with WIM, I can confidently say that they keep getting better every year. We were privileged to hear from the most remarkable women in the industry, including Emmy-winning screenwriters from shows like The Bear, The New York Times journalists, childhood-favorite YouTubers, and top-notch marketing experts. Our outstanding Leading Lady, Michelle Lee, left us all feeling deeply inspired and eager to drive tangible change in the industry. This would not have been possible without the tireless work of the executive board, whose dedication made this event possible.?Thank you so much to Francesca D'Agata, Irie Aburto, Samantha Dailey, Sofia Shin, Aria Mahmoud, and Nicole Martinez. I need to give a special shoutout to Phoebe Choi, who has been an absolute joy to work alongside over the past year. Her incredible dedication, hard work, and unwavering support as Vice President has been invaluable. Phoebe is sadly (but not surprisingly) graduating early. I will miss you so much Phoebe! I’m already looking forward to next year… let’s get to work!!?
