This past weekend, I got the chance to not only photograph, but have a moderator spot at the lovely Women In Media UCSB conference. Being able to moderate the Content Creator panel was such an exciting experience. Conversing with these four wonderful women was eye-opening and nothing short of insightful. I loved discussing the evergreen landscape of social media, the impact of being in an influencer position, and what we can observe from having an online presence. Photographing a conference was something I had never tried before, and though it required plenty of steps and plenty of time in post, it was such a rewarding experience. Capturing moments of the panelists interacting and speaking about their passions was nothing short of memorable. Being a creative is at the core of who I am, and it is through various media that I express myself. Be it video essays, photography, writing, mixed media collaging; I try my best to utilize all I have at my fingertips. Hearing all of these amazing women from different walks of life describe their journeys and how they keep their creative sparks alive was not only inspiring, but motivating. From their words, I realized that through genuine kindness and curiosity, everything you strive for is possible. Huge thank you to Giovanna Andreassi for incorporating me into this event! Her and the entire WIM team made this whole weekend happen for all of us, and I couldn't be more grateful for this experience and the chance to meet so many innovative ladies! Event photos below are taken and color graded by me :)
