TWAIN is the work of all partners, and today we'll know more about the role of Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER) - National Renewable Energy Centre in the impact throughout the project. ?? For Irene Eguinoa, CENER will, as scientific and technical coordinator of the project, contribute "to the advanced data-driven modelling of complex wind farm operations and to the development of an open-source integrated decision-support tool. Today we'll dive into the role of the Wind Energy Department of the Delft University of Technology in TWAIN. ?? For Riccardo Ferrari, the Delft Center for Systems and Control of TU Delft is prepared for the real life analysis of wind farm operations in extreme conditions "as an outcome meant for a wide-public. Empresarios Agrupados Internacional S.A. coordinates the GEN VERDE project, an innovation initiative in renewable energy and thermal storage aimed at driving the Green Transition and Industrial Decarbonization. The project was selected to receive funding in the call ‘aids for the improvement of public-private cooperation in R+D+i - 2024’ of the Comunidad de Madrid and co-financed by the European Union, was selected under the call for grants to improve public-private cooperation in R&D&I. It also involves Tewer Engineering, Principia Ingenieros Consultores, and the Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja IETCC CSIC #GENVERDE aims to develop modular and intelligent systems for renewable energy generation and storage, optimizing solar and wind resources to enhance efficiency and reduce industrial costs. Europe is making substantial investments to lead the development of offshore solar, in this case a €6 million investment for a one megawatt pilot plant in France. ???? History seems to be repeating itself. Europe also invested heavily in offshore wind technology development in the early 2000’s to become the de facto technology leaders, resulting in export of offshore wind expertise and components around the world. Europe presently has at least a decade lead on the US in offshore wind, and is building a similar lead in offshore solar. ????The US, as one of the worlds largest economies and biggest energy users, has an important role to play here in developing these technologies and powering our coastal communities where land is constrained and most Americans. But so far we have invested almost nothing in this space. We can change this if we choose too. We at RCAM Technologies are working with our partners to develop new offshore solar technologies for US conditions, but we need government support to accelerate our efforts in this hard tech space. #solarpower #floatingsolar #offshoresolar U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
