I couldn't agree more with the points shared by Antonio and Manuel on his article linked by Ji. Richardson. Simply translating exhibit texts isn’t enough to create true inclusivity. As Antonio mentioned, genuine accessibility requires ongoing dialogue with the community, not just checking a box. Museums thrive when they collaborate with their communities beyond their physical walls, creating meaningful connections that lead to greater support and impact. This approach feels essential for the future of museums. What are your thoughts on how cultural institutions can engage more deeply with their audiences? #MuseumAccessibility #CommunityEngagement #InclusivityInMuseums #CulturalDialogue #MuseumInnovation

An interesting new survey about cultural learning in museums. The feeling of "Time travel to the past" ranks high among sought-after experiences: a strong argument in favour of #museumtheatre and performance on the exhibition floor!

Excellence without purpose makes museums replaceable. When institutions focus on checking boxes — accreditation requirements, peer expectations, best practices — they risk optimizing themselves into uniformity. What if the path to genuine excellence isn't about meeting standards, but about understanding what makes your museum irreplaceable? Explore how standard practices might be limiting your museum's impact, and check out what leaders like Rosie Siemer and Alexa Magladry say about breaking free from performative community engagement: https://lnkd.in/e6b4PP4m

Trust is a powerful word, especially when it comes to museums. But what happens when 'trust' becomes something we actively promote rather than something we quietly earn? Amanda Krantz's article challenges the comfort many find in labeling museums as 'trusted' institutions. Her reflections urge us to reconsider how we talk about trust in the museum sector—highlighting the delicate balance between influence and responsibility. Amanda's piece reminds us that trust isn't a label to be worn proudly, but a dynamic relationship to be continuously nurtured. https://lnkd.in/gGVgNbsY #LearningHub #insight #MuseumInsight
