Hey everyone, it's been a whirlwind year since I took the plunge into the exciting world of cybersecurity! ?? As a fresh-faced SOC analyst, each day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. ?? A Day in the Life: My mornings start with a review of overnight alerts fired by our trusty SIEM (Elastic Stack) and XSOAR. ??? Using my newfound knowledge from Security+ and the Google Cybersecurity Certificate, I prioritize threats, investigate potential incidents, and collaborate with the team using tools like Jira and Redmine. ??? Communication is key! We leverage platforms like Github and Taiga to track progress and ensure everyone's on the same page. ?? But it's not all about staring at screens. I'm constantly exploring new technologies - recently, I dabbled with Chat GPT and Gemini for their potential applications in the field. ?? Beyond the Basics: While I'm honing my skills on the essentials (Elastic Stack, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR), I've also gained hands-on experience with Qradar, Rapid7, Defender, Fireeye, Flowmon, Forcepoint, and ESET Protect. ?? Fueling the Fire: The thirst for knowledge never ends! I'm actively enrolled in the EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst and CompTIA CySA+ courses to further sharpen my investigative skills. ?? The Journey Continues: This year has been an incredible learning experience, and I'm excited to see what the future holds!
