This new round of funding will accelerate BE WTR’s mission to provide eco-friendly, premium water solutions, ensuring access to high-quality drinking water while reducing reliance on single-use packaging and plastics. The company is at the forefront of innovation in water purification, distribution, and sustainability, aiming to set new standards for how water is consumed across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. Enter Solvent Targeted Recovery and Precipitation (STRAP) - a unique end-of-life technology being tested on our single-use products.

Did you know that Billerud is part of the 4evergreen alliance? In 2019, as discussions around the impact of the Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) gained momentum, Billerud participated in workshops organized by Cepi. It became evident that addressing the challenges of sustainable packaging required a collaborative platform. Thus, 4evergreen was born—an alliance with a clear goal: to increase the recycling rate of fiber-based packaging to 90% by 2030. "It's a collective effort between Billerud and like-minded partners worldwide to support the transition to a low-carbon society. We are proud to be part of alliances like 4evergreen, driving sustainability in fiber-based packaging", says Ulrika Wedberg ??, EVP Sustainability & Public Affairs. Formed in 2020, 4evergreen aims to boost fiber-based packaging's role in a circular economy. Starting with 45 companies, it has now grown to over 110 members from the entire value chain, including research institutes.
