Research supports the effectiveness of integrating this technology into today's classrooms. Studies, like the one by Roschelle et al. (2016), demonstrate the positive impact of online tools on math achievement. Their experiment with 2,800 middle school students across 43 schools revealed significantly higher assessment scores for students using the online math tool, along with teacher professional development. Recent research by WestEd further emphasizes the long-term benefits of online math programs. Breaking the Math Barrier: A Year of Positive Transformation It's fascinating how many people, especially students, associate math with negativity. The fear of math seems to be deeply ingrained in our culture. As a math teacher, I've made it my mission to challenge this stereotype and create a positive, supportive learning environment. This year, I started by asking my students what they associate with math. To my delight, I discovered that many of them actually *love* math! It was a revelation. By implementing various techniques and fostering a calm classroom atmosphere, I've been able to help my students overcome their math anxiety and embrace the subject. It's been incredibly rewarding to see their confidence and understanding grow.
